We are local to this zoo & I feel I tend to take it for granted after visiting other zoos across the country. It's a good sized zoo with LOTS of neat animals to see (some of our favorites include the white tigers, the meerkats & the golden lion tamarin). Be sure to bring some cash & quarters to feed the ducks, fish, birds & giraffe ($5 for the giraffe). We have a membership & go monthly sometimes several times a month & my daughter STILL loves to go after 6 years. I would recommend it for animal lovers.

Our first time at the Park and our Girls 5 and 6 yrs old loved it. We stayed for about 5 hours and our kids still weren't ready to leave. I really like the fact that it isn't a huge park and don't have to worry about our kids getting lost. The food is good and not pricey at all. After reading reviews I don't understand how kids can get bored so easily honestly. I do believe there isn't much to do for infants. RECOMMEND TAKING YOUR OWN LOCKS (LOCKERS DONT HAVE LOCKS) AND WATER SHOES FOR KIDS THE FLOOR IS A BIT ROUGH. DEF RECOMMEND

What a nice little gem to find in Bullard, Texas!
Took my visiting brothers in law (both veterans) there on a Wednesday afternoon. The museum takes you on a time line from the Revolutionary War through the recent wars on terrorism. The artifacts and history were well presented, interesting and educational. We spent 2 hours there and could have stayed another 30 minutes. The museum closes at 3 PM. We were all quite impressed.
Veterans receive complimentary admission.

Loved the personal touch of the winery. Owners were in Germany but the daughter was there and was very informative of the wines. Enjoyed the visit and the wines!

Sophisticated golf course surrounded by peaceful pine forest.
The clubhouse has some awesome food and the waitstaff are so friendly and pleasant to talk to. Price is pretty reasonable considering being of the golf course. Have had plenty meetings here. The staff are very accommodating and nice.

The location is a little difficult to find the first time, but the entrance is well marked with a large sign. The entrance is gated, but the gate is open during their business hours. Follow the gravel road to the clubhouse. Friendly, helpful and professional staff. If a lane is open, non-members can pay by the hour. If you decide to join the club, the annual membership dues are very reasonable. They offer both individual and family memberships. Nice new clubhouse and office. The outdoor rifle range and pistol range are separated by an earth berm. The rifle range is covered and includes a bench rest and seat, for each lane. Range Safety Officers on duty during business hours.. Scheduled CHL classes and individual instruction are available on-site. See web site for more information and the days that they are open. My wife loved that they offer a women only, survival and CHL classes.

I sure many people like this place, but not for me. This is a lifestyle winery. Its mostly a real estate development business, with a side order of wine.

There are lots of nooks and crannies in this old home, which was constructed in several eras as the family living in it gained more wealth. The home tells the stories of two Tyler's native families, and many of their possessions are still in the home. The bedrooms and kitchen were my favorite rooms to visit. Of course, local legend (and even some of the guides) say the home is still inhabited by at least one of its former residents. Do a search online for "Haunted Goodman Museum" by Stephanie Frazier to see my article with pics, for more details.

We had a personal tour for just our family by the homeowner. He was full of history of the area and knowledge of the house. He is only the third family to have lived there and has done plenty of research. The tour took about an hour, most of which was spent outside.
They do request a donation of $8 per adult and $6 per child, cash or check only.
