A popular boating launch point on the Emeryville peninsula.
The walking trail is well kept up and smooth enough to accommodate my walker. There is a large grassy area for dogs to run. There is a leash law, but it doesn't seem to be enforced for small dogs. The walk down the pier gives a beautiful view of the Bay and San Francisco, and is alongside the marina where there are many beautiful boats. There are clean, well maintained public restrooms and quite a bit of public parking (but most of the parking is for marina members and nearby residents. The pier is a perfect vantage point to watch the sunset.

I've come to enjoy going to the movies at this theater -- especially since I've become an AMC Stubs premiere member. There is the $6 movie on Tuesdays, the $5 popcorn + drink on Tuesday, the having your own line and being next -- even if there are other people waiting in line, and the popcorn upgrade (which I rarely do since I've never been able to eat a tub of popcorn on my own). I build up points and redeem them for free movie tickets (who doesn't love free?). They have renovated the theaters and the seats are pretty comfortable. Oh, and you can pick your seats, which is a major bonus when I'm running slightly late -- or I want to miss the previews. Customer service is always outstanding and, if you can get the popcorn when it's fresh, it's really good. You can buy adult libations (i.e. cocktails) too. I haven't tried any of these yet. And they do validate parking. You still have to pay, but paying $1.50 is better than $3!
