Designed as a showcase for native plants and their importance to the people of The Bahamas, the Preserve features Gardens and wetlands designed by world-renowned landscape architect, Raymond Jungles, as well as trails through over 20 acres of natural areas. Walk with nature in this sanctuary for over 300 species of native plants, 65 species of birds, and 100 species of medicinal plants. The Preserve is operated by the Bahamas National Trust and funded by the Leon Levy Foundation. It was developed by Shelby White, trustee of the Foundation, in honour of her late husband, Leon Levy. The Preserve is the first national park on the island of Eleuthera.
Worth stopping in and looking around. Much larger than I thought it would be. Saw turtles and even a snake.

Do this beach at last... After seeing this beautiful beach you may not like other beach. My whole family voted this beach as THE BEST beach in Eleuthera. Beautiful view clean water, grey rocks...
The negative side is drive to reach to this beach. Make sure you have SUV with 4 wheel drive. There is one narrow road for in and out and on some points there is hardly space for one SUV to go forward and if someone come from opposite direction, its bad. But your hard driving will be rewarded by Beautiful unspoiled beach. Try to avoid car or mini van to go to this beach if you have option.

A luxury boutique resort.
Enormous beach, really nice, great waves for the kids. No shade whatsoever. Can be very windy. Pink sand? It’s probably just me having troubles with colours....
Not much parking. Access to the north of the old resort. And you can take the sand road parallel to the beach further north to Twin Cove Beach

We stayed on the Atlantic (I believe both sides are the Atlantic however everyone differentiates them by Atlantic and Caribbean, likely due to the calm beautify turquoise water) side of the island just across from Ten Bay, which was windy. With a short drive from the house we were at Ten Bay and it is beautiful.
The water is crystal clear and calm. You can walk out a great distance and still only be waist deep. It is a great place to relax and enjoy the scenery and if you have children it’s a great place for them to spend the day with little worry.
Some days we were there were only a few if any people there, but one day it was a packed house. We packed up a cooler and brought chairs and enjoyed a few days there. Unlike the beach at the house we rented this was calm water and no wind. There are no-see-um bugs and mosquitos so spray yourself accordingly, you’ve been warned.

Oceanview Farm is the only riding facility on the island of Eleuthera. Our trails appeal to nature lovers, bird watchers and horse enthusiasts alike. Meander along the stunning lake trail then on to the beach where pink sands meets aqua sea. We have horses to suit every level of rider. No prior experience is necessary, we want our guests to just relax and take in all the natural beauty of our island in the sun.
The ladies running this farm are definitely animal lovers and take great care. The stables, pastures, and grounds were spotless, they were extremely informative and friendly... and the horses were very healthy. They limit the rides to 2 per day (each one hour) and are in the mornings, I assume so the horses stay cool. They take great care to make sure everyone is safe and has fun.. walking trails only but how better to start your day in paradise than riding a horse along a gorgeous beach? They also sell shirts and such - which I didn't realize until I got home..

A book lovers dream. Charming old building with lovely views. Great collection of books including an excellent reference section on the Bahamas. Membership fees are really good value, even if you are just staying a few weeks on Eleuthera - you will have access to lots of books and also computers and wifi. The staff are really friendly and helpful.

We've been to numerous places in the Bahamas, T&C, and the Caribbean, and Queens Baths is one of the most beautifully unique places we've been. Super easy to find right off Queens Highway, Queens Baths unfold in front of you like an alien landscape. At first you think it's just a bunch of limestone, but as you head further to the left, the baths open up and are stunning. Going at low tide is a MUST. The Atlantic was really rough when we were there and at a higher tide, you might have been swept into the ocean and tossed against the rocks. But at low tide, this is an incredible place. I would steer kids away from the cliffs edge to the right because they can crumble. Our kids were 8, 11, and 13 so paid attention when we said to stay away from the edge. Flip flops are doable for the rocks but water shoes are a better idea.
The pools are fun to explore and there are some interesting "cave" areas carved by eons of ocean waves. The views out into the Atlantic are beautiful with the most amazing shades of turquoise. The crashing waves are incredibly gorgeous. Having traveled from the top of the island to the very bottom, Queens Baths are a must see in Eleuthera.

We came here on our Princess cruise and did a snorkeling excursion for experienced snorkelers. Snorkeling was excellent as boat took us to a nice coral reef. We saw a variety of fish, corals and sea fans. We got off the boat from a platform on back. Unfortunately there was no ladder only a platform that made getting back on the boat difficult. The boat crew helped but a ladder would have been great. After snorkeling we had a picnic lunch set up by Princess of hamburgers and hot dogs. Lunch was fine but nothing special, it was included for no extra charge. The beach is nice but rocky in the water. You can rent clamshells, bungalows, snorkeling equipment, floats and Hobie sailboats. A great beach day very relaxing and enjoyable!
