Barcelona feels a bit surreal – appropriate, since Salvador Dali spent time here and Spanish Catalan architect Antoni Gaudí designed several of the city’s buildings. Stepping into Gaudí’s Church of the Sacred Family is a bit like falling through the looking glass - a journey that you can continue with a visit to Park Güell. Sip sangria at a sidewalk café in Las Ramblas while watching flamboyant street performers, then create your own moveable feast by floating from tapas bar to tapas bar.

The Barcelona Taste was founded in 2009 to introduce curious locals and adventurous tourists alike to the culinary treats nestled within the labyrinth that is Barcelona. After years of exploring, sampling, and delighting in the local secrets, we decided we were ready to share our discoveries with other discerning palates wanting to experience a more authentic Barcelona. Barcelona is, obviously, a major tourist destination and the number of tours, guidebooks, and websites devoted to the city’s visitors can be overwhelming. This is another reason we decided to start The Barcelona Taste: a small, local culinary tour that lets you experience all the great food while side-stepping the crowds. We are Barcelona’s first complete gastronomical tour built around the idea that there is no reason to just walk and talk about food when it’s possible to walk, talk, and eat it! So, welcome! We look forward to tapas tasting our way around Barcelona with you.

The ultimate goal of travelling is to enjoy ourselves. When we travel we look forward to seeing new places and people, and discover different ways of living and understanding life. We long to be marvelled and to capture all that the world offers. This possibility awakens not only our innate instinct for knowing but also feelings and emotions within us that often remain dormant in our day-to-day lives. Gregorio Arribas, a licensed-private guide in Barcelona and Catalonia region, a connoisseur and admirer of his city, wants that all mentioned above become a reality for everybody that visits this part of the globe, and sees his mission as helping people realise the full potential of their travelling experience.

BIG is Barcelona's premiere improvised theatre & comedy company, bringing improv to Barcelona since 2011 with monthly main stage shows, weekly drop in workshops, classes, and integrated professional training. Please check website and Facebook for upcoming shows. BIG also hosts the Barcelona Improv Group International Festival every November.
It was truly amazing to watch BIG in action. I couldn’t believe at times how they could weave together stories and situations all based on spur-of-the moment audience suggestions. It seemed like a scripted comedy that generated huge laughs. Well done! I just loved the Tinta Roja venue as well (which I assume was once an old movie theatre). An intimate bar full of character with cosy candlelit corners...perfect for a drink after the show!

Did this as 2 players . Great fun , running around playing with all sorts of toys and games for a 30 mins..... then it all turned a little bit sinister. Brilliant escape room. This slots perfectly inside our top 10% of a few hundred. NB . for UK players.. these guys ask you turn up at the booked time , not 10/15 mins before. Great staff. We would have played their Circus game immediately after, but we will be back in Barcelona soon enough, so we have left our self something to come back for. Looking forward to coming back.
