You can enjoy more than 70 acres of gardens after visiting the art and history museums at the Heritage.
Purchased 6 VIP tickets for Gardens Aglow and glad we did. The The tickets allowed us to get VIP parking and early entry into the gardens 1 1/2 before it was open to the public. We were able to walk the beautiful grounds, have our grandchildren meet with Santa and Mrs. Claus and ride the Merry -go -round without any waiting lines or crowds. It was a wonderful night of fun for both the children and the adults in our group. We will definitely go again and especially purchase the VIP tickets. The line of cars and those being dropped off by busses were incredibly long as we were leaving so we were very grateful that we had the time without the crowds.

Edaville Family Theme Park has three worlds in one! Thomas Land, CranCentral, and Dino Land (Seasonal). Also known for hosting the amazing and historical Christmas Festival of Lights (Seasonal).Jon Delli Priscoli purchased Edaville and it's 250 acres in 2002. There have been many exciting changes under his ownership including, the reconfiguration of the entire rail course and the opening of the only Thomas Land in the United States. Additionally, Edaville Family Theme Park opened Dino Land a prehistoric learning adventure filled with life sized animatronic dinosaurs! Throughout the year you can find your favorite characters visiting the park for meet and greets! As October arrives Edaville Family Theme Park stays open late during not its so spooky Halloween celebration focusing on creating a fun and safe trick or treating environment for all children to enjoy . And of course during the holiday season Edaville opens for its world renowned Christmas Festival of Lights that has now grown to display over 7 million lights! Admission at Edaville includes access to all three parks, free parking and a lifetime for family memories.
We went this past Saturday for the Santa VIP experience. We overall had a really good time. But will only call it 4 star for a few reasons. I will start with the positives:
-4 year old absolutely loved the Santa experience. It was truly magical to watch her and we are so happy we got to do it.
-Inside and outdoor rides, genius! We were able to get out of the cold when needed but still have fun.
-Thomas Land is adorable, again 4 year old thought it was great and we were all able to go on the rides together which was fun.
-The lights are absolutely beautiful :) And all the animatronics remind me of a place we visited as a child.
Negatives (which have led me to a 4 star rating instead of a 5)
-We had to wait outside until 1:15 (when we bought our tickets it said to get there at 12:30 to get checked in) It was cold but not awful but try to explain to a busy 4 year old that they have to wait in one spot for 45 mins while watching other people in the park (private party) ride the rides. Again, not the end of the world (and if she was older probably not a big deal at all) but slightly inconvenient.
-According to our tix the train ride was supposed to start at 1, we didn't get on the train until 1:30. Also not a huge deal but this leads me to my next issue...
-When we got off the train after 2:05 (park opens at 2) we were not allowed to get into a food building to use the ATM (even when we told the young man at the door we just needed the ATM/not food, he responded that his boss said he couldn't let anyone else in. Also yes they were open at one point but for some reason closed now?) and the outdoor smaller places were cash only. We had left our house at 10am and weren't able to eat until 2:30 at least. This could be fixed by bringing our own sandwiches or something but we were first timers and we expected that we would be able to get something to eat. After all the research I did online and reading the website's FAQ page I would have thought this would be addressed but all it says it most places accept cards and there is an ATM if cash is needed. I just think it's strange that everything in the park wouldn't be ready to go. Wouldn't you begin opening up food places BEFORE the park opens to be ready and not after? Even the hot chocolate lady told us she didn't have water to make hot chocolate with.
-When you do buy food... Holy expensive! At a cost of $44/ticket you would think the food would be reasonably priced but just a hot dog in a bun wrapped in tin foil was $4.50. Not a trip ruiner but just me being picky I suppose. Would definitely recommend you bring your own food which would eliminate most of the issues we had!
-Lastly, there were a few people smoking in the park. In the ride lines where staff could see if not at least smell them. I'm sorry but in a kid park there should be NO SMOKING, and if there is a no smoking rule obviously no one was enforcing it.
Overall the experience was wonderful, would love to go back in the summer to see Dino Land and everything else and we will go more prepared next time. And will also make sure we go after opening not at opening to be sure everything is actually open!

I have never been to Water Wizz. I rented a Deluxe Cabana for today for $132. It's 12:40 p.m. and the temperature at Water Wizz is 64 degrees. Did not go to Water Wizz due to temperature, overcast and a chance of rain. Water Wizz did not close so everyone that rented a cabana and didn't go because of weather didn't get to change the cabana date...we all just lost our money. I spoke to someone who may have been the owner and she said she had received at least 20 calls and was not very accommodating. My advice is to not buy your tickets in advance or rent a cabana....or maybe skip Water Wizz all together (adult tickets are $37). I am wondering if greed may play a part in their decision to keep the park open today...this is just my opinion. This may be a family park but not very family friendly. I was bringing two children but would definitely not want them to ride on water rides on a 64 degree day. The temperature may climb later in the day to a whopping 66 degrees. But, with no sun even 66 degrees is cold. I was told they closed the park approximately two weeks ago when the temperature was 64 degrees...but open today when the temperature is 64 degrees...??? I would not recommend Water Wizz to anyone.

This canal has places to walk running parallel to it. It is a great place for walking or riding bikes as it is totally flat. Also, the canal itself provides something nice to look at as there are always boats of all sizes passing. We also saw some people fishing in the canal (so I guess that allowed). The canal itself is amazing when you consider it was all manmade.

Grocery Store in tourist area
This store has made its return in a big way. Since reopening it has not dissapointed. If you need or want it, they should have it. I will return again and again.

We were looking for something to do to end the summer season and this was a great choice! The Great-grands (ages 5 and 3) loved this ride....it was a very informative, narrated ride which lasted two hours....comfortable for everyone because the kids sat down while we took off and landed, but they were able to walk the deck with us once we were on our way and that they liked! They stood at the rail which made it perfect for them to see the water and the boats that went by. Note: There are restrooms below deck and a snack bar as well. Great family trip - you will have a great time!

Route 6A, which is on the northern, or bay side, of Cape Cod, winds its way through some of the oldest villages in America, including Bourne, Sandwich, Barnstable, Yarmouth, Dennis, Brewster and Orleans. Many of the homes and churches along this tree-shaded road are listed on the National Register of Historic Places. If you are interested in seeing what Cape Cod looked like before tourists discovered it, and want to visit some of the best quaint, little shops in New England, Route 6A is the place to be.
Since we were staying on 6A, we did a lot of traveling up and down this road, through several lovely towns along the way. This is more for a scenic, less-rushed sort of driving around. Of course this is the end of the season, so I'm sure there were a lot less cars now during the summer months.

Perfect setting for a great day for a walk or bike ride. 7 miles up and 7 miles back is just enough for the new biker or older one. Many places to stop and rest. Views are beautiful. Perfect place to be with friends family

One side of the point is the bay, and the other is the channel to Sunset Cove. Onset Beach is protected by the two islands sitting in Onset Bay, and the result is one of he most pleasant and family friendly beaches on Cape Cod (yes, the cape still starts before the bridges); Shell Pint is the best spot on a great beach.

I visited late afternoon and got some lovely photos of the sunset. Boardwalk goes across the marsh to a beach. Worth a walk along. I saw seals from the beach as well as lots of birds.
