Beautiful landscaping and historic buildings can be found at this winery. Wandering to the tasting rooms was a highlight as we passed by peacocks and floral gardens. Tasting rooms themselves were slightly pretentious. Staff was light so hard to get service. Nice gift shop options.

Suburban park with more than 550 acres of land for biking, rock climbing, playing tennis and picnicking.
I have been to Marymoor many times, and I think that is great that they used this land for parks, instead of commercial, or private homes. The summer concerts were always nice, but have not been to a Jazz deal there for a few years, as I have not heard of anything like that happening there anymore.

Remlinger Farms is great for a family outing. We took our grand daughters out there for some summer fun. There are many activities for a family and this is a place that allows you to enjoy some basic things like a train ride or a roller coaster. Farm animals and a good restaurant.

The Monroe Reptile Zoo is home to the most diverse collection of Reptiles in the Pacific Northwest with over 85 species from across the world. Here you will have the opportunity to get up close and personal to these magnificent creatures.
We took our 4 grand-children here in April 2017. This is a great place to see reptiles and other wildlife that you don't see especially this close. We saw many of the world's most deadly reptiles, all of which have their poison removed. We got to pet an iguana, touch a turtle, and stare an alligator in the eye. We would definitely return here again.

Small batch whiskey distillery. Tasting Room, Bottle Sales, and Complimentary Tours.
The tour was excellent and very interesting and informative. The entire operation is fascinating. After the tour, we tried the whiskeys and there were clear favorites. We asked to try the vodka as well and ended up buying a bottle. The American whiskey was preferred of the four offered in the tasting room. It is a great place to stop when in the area. Even if your first love is wine or beer it is quite interesting to hear about their operation.
The Hollywood Tavern is next door and it offers a wide range of foods.

This is a really nice and very large county park. It is well off the beaten path in Carnation, but not so far off the grid that you aren't near useful resources. Not more than 3 blocks away is a small shopping center with a few small cafes, a Starbucks and a grocery store. Picnicking as an out-of-towner is easy with food so close by. The park is beautiful and very secluded and very large. There is plenty of parking and lots of space to roam, along with a number of very long walking/running/biking pathways.

We are open twice a month for tastings. Check out our Events Page on our website for more information. $10.00 tasting fee, waived with the purchase of a bottle of wine.
We were so delighted to find a winery just five minutes from our house, and even more pleased when we discovered how good the wines are. Roger is a humble craftsman who is happy to share his operation. The winery is small, and you taste among the aging barrels of wine.My personal favorites are The Mountains (red) and the viognier. They are open the first Saturday of every month, and the third Saturday as well (I think) in the summer months. In summer, they have a food truck with great food and often live music. If you join their wine club (which we did), you will be able to go to events. One Friday a month, they have an "un-wine-der" where there is live music and the food truck. They also have wine club release parties where they provide food as well.

A popular local brewery.
With so many interesting choices for winery and brew pub tasting rooms, Redhook provided a fun venue for a Sunday afternoon. Corn chowder dip was just the right blend of creaminess and bite. Penn Cove mussels were well prepared. Beer choices were broad and flavorful. Fun crowd and great service. Worth a stop!

This winery is simply superb in their craft, atmosphere, service, and tasting facilitation. We had a large party and everything was executed to perfection! Tip: Make reservations before arriving, and call ahead to order a delicious cheese plate for your visit. You'll be treated with the utmost respect and gratitude here and you'll definitely take home some bottles after a very enjoyable tasting. Cheers!

We saw the handmade "U-Pick Blueberries" signs on our way to Snoqualmie Falls. While headed home, we stopped to get blueberries for homemade pie.
The farm is fairly small. It is row after row of blueberries and a small stand to gather baskets/bags for picking. The host was friendly and explained that a 'boom cannon' would sound every 15 minutes and to not be alarmed; it scares off the birds who want to pick for free.
Pricing as of June 2014 was $2 per pound. We were not wanting to make too much homemade pie and purchased just under 4 pounds.
As with most u-pick places, they only accept cash.
