The museum is bright and welcoming and offers a real insight into the life and achievements of one of the greatest racing drivers of all time and a local man. There are archive films to watch of both Jim’s life as a Berwickshire farmer and of his races. Fascinating collection of numerous trophies and memorabilia. A couple of his cars are also housed here. (Make a detour to the Jim Clark bistro on the square for great cake and coffee or for lunch! Also highly recommended. )

Wonderful place to visit near Duns, only open Thursday and Sunday but what a treat awaits. Super walks in lovely grounds with many magnificent specimen trees. The marble dairy is a thing of beauty and really harks back to a different era. Same too with the magnificent stables, close your eyes and you can imagine the hustle and bustle of a busy stable yard. Beautiful teak fittings make these stables very grand. The house is very welcoming, a grand silver staircase a work of the silversmiths’ art! Marvellous! Also the biscuit tin exhibition is interesting. The cafe is warm and welcoming too, staff friendly and all very helpful and knowledgeable about Manderston.

Outstanding 18-hole parkland golf course, widely admired and praised. The setting is spectacular, with wide fairways and true greens in the rolling, open countryside of the Scottish Borders. This is a superb golfing experience - a star of southern Scotland. The clubhouse offers excellent food and service, a relaxed atmosphere, free WiFi and a warm Scottish welcome.
The course is tough but fair and the fairways and green in fantastic condition. We played early October in sparkling sunshine but the wind was harsh and chilly. We couldn't find a member of staff when we arrived but some members about to set out for a round were helpful and sorted the green fees. Be prepared to take your time around the course as the views are stunning
