This shop was filled with Wisconsin souvenirs, liquors, an assortment of jams and jellies, and refrigerated cases of cheese galore, both gourmet and standard. I bought the 7-yr aged sharp cheddar cheese, Provolone, and Pepper Jack Cheese. Can't wait to return home to prepare cheese toast in the mornings.

Our family enjoyed our quick stop at the Mousehouse Cheesehaus. We purchased the aged asiago cheese spread, an assortment of fudge, and caramels. Everything was delicious. The caramels are the best I have ever had! They also have cute gifts.

Came here for my first time last year and had an amazing experience. Had a gift card to the whole evening wasn't bad at all as far as cost. The seats were almost too comfortable, but loved being able to pre-assign. Everything we ordered from the menu was great. Had a Cherry Hurricane, Pretzel Sticks with dipping sauces and Mini Donuts with dipping sauces for dessert. Had I not had the gift card, this would have been a pricey night out, but it would be something I'd do anyway maybe once or twice a year.

Went as a birthday surprise visit for a bourbon lover. Made online reservations. Hosts and owners were cordial and informational. Got a one-on-one tour of the operation. Bourbon aged onsite -- on rustic family farm from the 40's -- but distilled at another location. We learned a lot; the owner spent plenty of time answering questions. Ended with a drink in the tasting area and got chocolate truffles as a small birthday token at no charge. Very interesting, local history -- and the bourbon is fabulous too!

You can't beat Sassy Cow ice cream, best in WI and maybe best anywhere. Our tour included three bus loads of people with several guests in wheelchairs. This tour is not designed for the close to 50 people that began on a second floor with no elevator. Our one tour guide tried hard to handle this huge group but it made it tough on her. We got a chance to see the milk cows and the "merry go round" milking process. The timing of our tour was perfect to hit the 4:00 milking. Had a chance to sample some chocolate milk and tour guide did tell us a little about the process but with this size group it did not make her job easy. Did not get a chance to see anything happening in the ice cream process but did enjoy the ice cream that we purchased, some now and some cartons to take home. Nice visit.

One of Madison's most popular attractions, this oasis of green includes a sunken garden, perennial garden, rose garden, rock garden, herb garden, wildflower garden and a tropical conservatory.
We love it and got married there in 1976. Beautiful gardens with labeled plants, wonderful walkways and a shuttle tour. Really enjoyed Butterflies and Blooms, Holiday Flowers and model train show. Beautiful Thai Pavilian, etc. Well worth your time.

The park has a people beach with shelters, separate dog beach/swim area, boat launch/fish cleaning station, and a variety of different hiking trails. We picnic here, hike, swim, get the dogs out, and I personally like to use the park for trail runs through the woods and prairie. Lot's of elevation changes back in the woods so bring your hill legs!

The pink elephant is a fun photo for all ages. Hang out with the pink elephant and get pics, then drive across the interstate to get pics with Sassy the Cow.

Lake Windsor's unique 18-hole layout, first-class facilities and attentive service are at the heart of one of Wisconsin's most enjoyable golf experiences. An impressive clubhouse awaits you. Expert banquet facilities offer a panoramic view of the golf course, all matched only by its attentive and professional staff!
We really like Easter and Mother's Day visits to Lake Windsor Country Club. Nice selection of food...long buffet table. Good mix of breakfast and lunch.
Black Angus Prime Rib was terrific. Ham was good. All food was hot and the shrimp was really good. Smoked Salmon was really good. Way too much cheese, but this is the cheese state.
Dessert table is outstanding. Although a reduction in the number of pies, the selection was very good. Cookies, red velvet cup cake were all excellent.
Service was really good. Our favorite place for special occasions. Reservations are mandatory for these special holidays.

Decent view of a nice lake and nice homes on it, with the Capitol dome on the horizon. But really nothing special as food on board is average, boat is cramped for space, and the whole thing pretty expensive for what it is.
