I took my little nephew to the Discovery museum last week and he had an absolute ball! It is very similar to the Children's museum in Denver and features lots of hands on activities. He particularly liked the submarine - keeps talking about "driving" the sub. I thought that Aunt Sarah's attic was a very clever concept. Wasn't at all crowded and the museum's 2 floors were well laid out. Highly recommend.

Wonderful culinary/walking tour of Davidson. Our tour guide Teresa gave the history of the town, the college and several homes and church's as we walked. The restaurant owners were gracious -and served generous samples. Come hungry! We started at Brickhouse, then walked to The Famous Toastery, The Soda Shop, South Main Sweet Shop, Fuel Pizza and finally ending at Campania. Thank you Teresa!!

Clean, friendly, relatively safe...
Prices are average considering what it provides.
However, understaffed, poorly managed....but management is over-tasked given the circumstances...so it's not management's fault.
Ticket machines always going xown...and staff are over-tasked and can'tfix machines...
Could be a lot better....but still enjoyable...FYI yhey only have two cashier stations and their process os too labor intensive. A customer should be entirely dealt with a touch screen system.

My husband and I were visiting friends in the area over Thanksgiving and they brought us to Davidson for lunch and some Christmas shopping. Us girls really enjoyed this store which was really busy, but loving all the great gift items for Christmas as well as all year round. When paying for items, the staff was very happy to gift wrap Christmas presents. Will definitely be coming back the next time we are visiting.

Davidson Farmer's Market

We live within walking distance and, therefore, walk into town frequently on Sat. mornings to enjoy the ambiance, meet friends and shop for fresh produce (and whatever other items intrigue us. The sellers and the customers are friendly, chatty and fun to be with. Selections are diverse and high quality (if a bit pricey). It is rare to wander through the market without meeting people we know or introducing ourselves to new folks.

Fisher Farm

Reviewed By LKNCHOWHOUND - Cornelius NC

Have been here a couple of times and it's a great place to relax.

Old farm now part of Davidson. Farm building still intact and give a link to the current.

Rest is farmland.

If you are into off the road ATV, good option. If you want to just take a good stroll, you will hav to take a bit of hike from the parking lot to the wooded trails.

Not highly developed but at the same time, that's an advantage. Keeps thing simple and somewhat primitive.

Good place to spend a couple of hours in peace and quite to recharge you batteries before you have to confront reality.
