Joe Diamond is the Mystery Performer everyone is quietly talking about. Some call him a mind reader, others call him psychic, and still more call him a magician. You now have the chance to decide for yourself, up close and personal! Only 13 people will be admitted to his studio in the 'supposedly haunted' Dole Mansion in Crystal Lake for this unique experience. “If you don’t already worship at the feet of Joe Diamond, you should really get on board.” - Varla Ventura, author of “Beyond Bizarre” "Joe Diamond is the Devil" - WGN News "I am totally floored" - You & Me This Morning "That's impossible!" - The Today Show It doesn't matter if you are a believer or a skeptic, we predict you will have a good time!
Joe Diamond's show makes for a very fun, unusual night out. It's especially nice that it's for a smaller size audience, so everything happens close up; there's not a bad seat anywhere. It's obvious that Joe loves his work and loves entertaining; so much thought has gone into his performance, and it's great that he includes the audience as much as possible. We can't wait to return!

Absolutely beautiful area with swimming, fishing, gliding on water activities, hiking trails, picnic areas , water park for kids plus some really nice places to eat. The landscaping is beautiful leaning to native plants and if you just want to sit and enjoy the view you can do that too. A definite five star experience.

The beers are not great but they are good. They had about 8-9 choices when I was there. This place has an ample-sized seating area with a decent-sized outdoor seating area in season. It has lots of games to play if you want, including a giant-sized janga game. The staff is friendly and attentive. It's a nice place to hang for a few. I, as a self-proclaimed beer snob would like to see more beer variety and some stronger offerings like imperial stouts and porters. The place has plenty of lighter ales and weis beers.

Although we celebrated St. Patrick’s Day with a delicious Irish breakfast and hamburger for lunch, we’ve also eaten on the newly refurbished patio in the summer and loved it. Fast and friendly service no matter where you sit, pub food, lots of daily specials (love 1/2 price pizza and burger days!) some Irish themed food, and free popcorn and peanuts! The patio has overhead fans and lights, and TVs all around to enjoy in the fresh air. The Cottage also hosts concert events in the throughout the year. Just wish the parking lot was bigger but street parking is available and also a public lot down the street. Very crowded on weekends and summer nights.

I have always seen great performances at The Raue. Excellent Christmas musical. Funny, lively, and well executed. Great views from anywhere.

I first went to On Target for my CCW class and found the instructor(s) to ve very knowledgeable and extremely focused on safety. They were tough but very effective teachers, and many of them have a military background. I learned a lot, and I am a former Police Officer. The shoot - no shoot simulator is an added feature that provided a valuable learning experience. Since then, I have repeatedly gone to the range to practice and still continue to be very impressed with the professionalism of the staff. The only negative is the prices of their guns, which are generally significantly above those of their competitor's. As a range however it's clearly a 5 star operation.

Veterans Acres has been around for many years. While some improvements have been made, the park has limited facilities. There's a nice play area for the young ones. There's a pavilion for rent for decent size parties. BBQ grills are available. There are two baseball fields and a few tennis courts. In the winter time, visitors can use sleds down a steep hill to the lower level. The location is on the North side of the City of Crystal Lake. There is no charge to use the facilities.

Rent paddle boards at the Board House which is the best place in northern IL to paddleboard! Located on the South Lake at 3 Oaks Recreations Area in Crystal Lake, IL which has 330 acres of clear, clean water. We have a private launch area for rentals and lessons and there's plenty of wildlife to see. The lake has 8 islands and 5 bays to explore with no motor boats to create a wake. We also have windsurfing available!
The people running the Board House are very knowledgeable in getting you started. The lake is very clean and clear. You can see the fish as you board. The boards are well maintained. It is a fun place to paddle board at an affordable price.

Staff is sooo nice! It's something fun to do rather than sit at home. It is great for kids and really doesn't matter your skill level! I highly recommend going.

Finn McCool's Irish Sports Pub , located in Schaumburg & Crystal Lake in Illinois. Bringing a taste of Chicago's pub scene to the Suburbs, with a decor of rich, dark woods, stained glass, a large fireplace and a collection of Celtic artifacts peppered with music and sports collectibles to create a fun and colorful montage throughout the pub. "Finn McCool's captures the spirit of Irish warmth and hospitality, with a dash of downtown energy," said Mark Hoffmann, who along with Fred Hoffmann owns and operates Finn McCool's as well as dozens of other bars and restaurants in Chicagoland. "It's great to bring a classic Chicago pub to the suburbs". The name Finn McCool's comes from ancient Irish legends. Finn McCool (or Finn Mac Cumhail) was the greatest of the mythological Celtic heroes and leader of the Finians, the elite warrior band that guarded the high king of Ireland . Finn McCool's goes beyond typical pub food with more than 50 distinctive dishes on the menu, plus daily food specials. Finn McCool's is open serving both lunch and dinner. Tons of large extra-bright flat screen TVs provide full coverage of the day's sporting events. Tabletop speakers are available that can be tuned to each individual table's game of choice to hear the play-by-play. Patrons can also play sports and trivia video games on the NTN satellite network using cordless "playmaker" units to compete with players in bars across North America
This is a sports bar in down town Crystal Lake.
Administrative Items: Parking can be tricky. There is no dedicated lot. However, there is street parking and the parking for the train stop. There is additional public parking in the lots by Starbucks (currently under construction right now)
Food was good. Typical sports bar food. Room a little darker, lots of TV.
We ate here before a performance to the Raue Theater. Parked the car once and walked to both locations.
