Buchan Country Park is 170 acres of countryside on Crawley's doorstep and a Green Flag Award winning Country Park. Owned and managed by West Sussex County Council, it is a haven for quiet recreation and a variety of wildlife. The waters at Buchan are designated a Site of Special Scientific Interest for the variety of dragonfly species. The park is an ideal place for walking, wildlife watching or enjoying a picnic. We have a permanent orienteering course, 2 way-marked trails and sculpture dotted around the park. The Rangers and the Friends of Buchan Country Park run a variety of events throughout the year. Lose yourself amongst the birch trees, wander around the heath and linger in the meadow, Buchan Park has plenty to offer.
Beautiful Park. Pleased to see that the toilets are now reopen and they have also added a coffee mobile unit just past the car park. Had a lovely walk with the children and dogs plus had a picnic. Plenty of picnic tables and bins around. Very little dog poo been left too due to loads of bins and the poo fairy posters. My kids love it here and we visited here several times since June.

My kids love Ifield Mill pond, , call it Auckland, it is so quiet and clean, full with all typed of birds and ducks, we go and feed the ducks and have a little picnic on the bench, lots to learn about, my kids are 7, 5 and 3 and always ask to go here, it's free and the fresh air is so good for them, it's safe and all the people we have met are super friendly, mainly dog walkers, the good thing is there is a little tesco up the hill, so no need to make a picnic, you can just grab some sandwiches and a drink from there, even some bread of something for the ducks, so a really good back up for a park, also there is a park and another duck pond at the shop, so it turns into a nice little morning out, Ifield west is clean and safe, it's a hidden gem, also a little bit of history to learn about with the museum there too. Highly recommend it for young families looking for a cheap morning out the house.

The Hawth is one of the busiest arts venues in the south east. Open all year round the venue presents theatre, west end shows, dance, music, opera, comedy and more. The venue includes a 855 seat Theatre, a 146 seat Studio, a Curzon Cinema and Sway Dance Studio. In the Summer the venue also has a woodland amphitheatre and outdoor marquee in which to present entertainment. Disabled access and performances. Free car parking. Restaurant and bars. Also used for meetings, exhibitions and conferences.
Went to The Hawth last night with my daughter, we sat in Row P which had plenty of leg room as there is an aisle immediately in front. The seats were in a good position to see the stage but were not very comfortable. The acoustics at The Hawth are very good and "You Win Again" tribute band were excellent. Parking at the venue was very easy with plenty of spaces, the staff were friendly & helpful, we did not order any drinks in the interval. Thank You to everyone for a very relaxing & enjoyable evening, we will look forward to coming again.

Loved our time at the lounge. The food was lovely and fresh the staff were very attentive. Jude was our highlight of the stay, kept the teens amused and surprised me with a bottle of bubbly for my birthday. We actually didn’t want to leave. Also thanks to Alex and Aaliyah and Tarayon who also went above and beyond for us.

After having been into central London and Brighton to do some shopping over Easter we decided to go into Crawley, my partner and I were staying at the Premier Inn on the North Terminal of Gatwick Airport and hadn't actually realised how close we were to Crawley, it wasn't until the end of our stay we started travelling into Crawley more regularly for food and shopping, such a shame we hadn't done this earlier. Stumbled across the County Mall which was absolutely fab, it had everything we needed in there and even a huge Primark, I was very surprised by the variety in Primark as I expected that Crawley would have the smallest amount of clothing available! Amazed to see beauty and hair salons inside the mall, I live in one of the Channel Islands and we don't have salons that are anything like this, I didn't manage to go in to any of them but I'll be sure to the next time that I am there. Small choice of places to eat but sufficient, I had eaten at the noodle place and also at Subway which was lovely, just what you need after shopping! I am so glad we came across the County Mall, we didn't have to rush whilst doing any shopping which was such a relief, we could take our time and enjoy going from shop to shop...something that we couldn't do at all whilst in London and Brighton. Will be returning again, we have decided from now on to visit Crawley regularly when we fancy a little break or a mini shopping trip. Thanks for a great experience.
