Beautiful mix of old historic buildings and modern neighborhood. It straddles Pawtuxet River with Cranston on one side and Warwick on the other, connected by a beautiful old bridge. Large village green/park running down to the river. Large gazebo in center of the green. Home of the Pawtuxet Rangers, a historic Revolutionary War Militia and reinactment group. In June there are numerous events, including a huge parade, large craft show, reinactments, all celebrating the burning of the Gaspee, a British Revenue schooner, which is also burned in effigy every year. Several excellent restaurants in the village and various shops. Very walkable village and surrounding neighborhoods. I always enjoy visiting this village.

Sweenor's has the absolute best chocolates around. From the minute you walk in, the sweet aroma instantly calms you and you find yourself happily musing over which chocolate you will have today. Their dark chocolate caramels and dark chocolate-covered Oreos are among my favorites. Highly, highly recommended!

Conveniently located on Route 2 in Cranston, Garden City Center is home to over 60 shops, services and eateries. The fabulous stores include Anthropologie, Crate and Barrel, J. Crew, L'Occitane, Sephora, Williams Sonoma, Pottery Barn, The Container Store, Providence Diamond, The Container Store, Bistro 22, LA Fitness and Whole Foods Market. Garden City Center was one of the first open air shopping experiences of its kind in the country and for generations families have had fond memories of GCC shopping excursions.
Such a nice center, where you can stroll through different stores outside with accompanying music. A lovely place with loads of shops and restaurants!

High quality, innovative beers, born in New England and brewed with passion. We partner with local businesses to develop distinct local flavors -- like our White Electric Coffee Stout -- and we brew all of our beer at Brutopia in Cranston, RI or Cottrell Brewing Company in Pawcatuck, CT. Take a brewery tour and try exclusive brews at our tasting room in Cranston.
Spent an evening with friends eating wonderful food (PREMIUM pub fare) and drinking a variety of quality suds. Service was attentive and friendly, and the food menu was varied and tasty. One non-criticism...they need to print up some t-shirts with more of the incredible artwork gracing the beer cans. I'd frame them and put them on the walls of my man cave.
