Butterfly exhibit promoting an understanding of the nature through the world of insects.
The morpho madness event is the time to go! Beautiful bright blue butterflies everywhere! definitely hot in there even in February so dress accordingly.
My only negative is that I wish there were more exhibits or learning stations for children.
Staff/volunteers do a great job. You can tell the truly appreciate the butterflies!

Historic District St. Charles: 16 blocks of shopping, dining and lodging in historic, restored structures on the banks of the Missouri River. Settlement dates to 1769.
Went to visit my cousin Dan Baddock who is the owner of Lewis and Clark restaurant in the Saint Charles historic district. We got there early and walked around to see the many beautiful shops. Later in the day Dan took us and introduced us to a few of the shop owners. Lovely day spent eating, drinking wine, and shopping. Also, a lovely River Walk in the park.

Stopped in with my daughter for a phone repair and shopped/ate lunch while we waited. It was an enjoyable time and we found a unique novelty store that had items that grabbed both our interests. It's out of the weather fun for all age groups.

That's it though. They don't have food of any kind. They don't even have ice. The bartender was not what I would call friendly but it was just a Tuesday night. Still, a bit more enthusiasm would have gone a long way. Ultimately, I'd probably go back for the selection of beers.

I stopped by this farm for the corn maze and, wow, was I surprised at how extensive and well planned their corn maze is. They give you a map when you register, which was actually very necessary. I don't recommend venturing in without one! Keep a cell phone handy, too, in case you get lost... (although, as my husband pointed out, you can always tell which way you are oriented by looking for the utility poles along the road and keeping them on your left, if you want to find your way out) As someone who loves puzzles this was a great excuse for a good walk as I sought out all of the numbered posts scattered around the maze (marked on the map, although you sometimes have to search a bit). The words or letters on the posts spell out two phrases as you collect them on the back of the map.
After the maze, you can cool off under the trees with the farm mascot, Sam (a very friendly great Pyrenees). My grandson preferred Precious, one of the cats, and the kids playground. There are lots of animals - goats, sheep, cows, ducks, geese, chickens, donkeys, peacocks and more... All very friendly ...
We're going back again soon, before the crowds hit. The Maze and petting zoo are open from September through early November.
By the way... if you're looking for a great place for a family reunion, casual wedding or other casual gathering, they are open to those sorts of engagements, too!

Kokomo Joe's is the ultimate Family Fun Center for both kids and adults. Enjoy time with your family and friends in our clean, welcoming and fun atmosphere. Offering Go Karts, Laser Tag, Escape Rooms, Bumper Cars, Bounce Beach, 100+ Arcades, Restaurant & Bar. Private Rooms and Meeting Space available. Open daily. All indoors.
Looking for a way to entertain my 12 year old grandson while staying in the area, we found Kokomo Joe's. I was impressed, not only with the activities available, but with the cleanliness and roominess of the place. To participate you purchase a card onto which they load the amount of money you specify. This card is then used at all the activities and arcade games. My grandson absolutely loved the mini bowling and go carts. We also played glow in the dark mini golf which was nicely decorated with the Route 66 theme. If it were closer to home we would visit often.

A couple of girlfriends and I stopped in for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. The restaurant wasn't very busy. We ordered chicken wings and a side salad and one of my friends ordered a grilled chicken salad. Chicken wings were good but we've had better. The salad was good and the citrus dressing was very good. The salad that my girlfriend ordered with the grilled chicken breasts seemed to be very fresh and it took a bit longer than the chicken wings to arrive at our table. Service was just ok. The order of chicken wings plus a side salad and water was over $20 without tip. I call that a very expensive lunch. The ambience of the restaurant was nice but I probably would not go again.

Welcome to Monkey Joe’s of Cottleville, Missouri, your headquarters for all the bouncing, sliding, and tumbling fun that kids love! Our indoor playground of wall-to-wall inflatables will be opening soon and will offer a variety of fun inflatables, arcade games, and a full range of concessions for kids 12 years old and younger.
Clean, safe, cool environment for a toddler on a hot afternoon! The staff is great and so helpful. They have specific areas for toddlers, 3-5, and 6 and above, which I loved. All the inflatables are clean, and the bathrooms are spotless. Adults can go in the inflatables to help the little ones. Today was Toddler Tuesday, so we got in for $5!! (Adults are free!).

I went there with a few friends a couple of months ago for the first time. The service was good (caveat: the server was friendly with one of my companions, so not a fair test, necessarily). The food was well-prepared and satisfying, and the beer selection was varied and much wider than most. I would go back.

We were visiting St. Charles and decided to go have a few drinks and were unfamiliar with the area. Found Elmer's Tavern on the internet and decided to give it a try.
The bar was very sketchy looking on the outside (typical dive bar look). But when we walked inside we were surprised. Elmer's was very clean and a very nice bar on the inside. It wasn't hard to see it was a locals place and some of bar usual's were very nice to us. The drinks were good and the bartender was very nice.
Elmer's has 2 pool tables, few video games and cool hook game to play. Every town needs a bar like this! recommend this place!
