Took the tour of the museum, here in this small and charming town. The building is well preserved, stunning, painted roof tiles, a lovely courtyard and replicas of the hospice inside the museum. Very interesting how people were cared for, after a war, the sleeping areas, medical treatment and kitchen can all be seen in the museum.

Each numbered stage takes in a place of interest, and the whole trail can be covered on foot in about one hour. Take your time and enjoy the friendly atmosphere in the many museums, galleries, shops and cafés terraces!
We came o Dijon on a rainy day and instead of soaking wet wandering is streets went to Beaune and returned to Dijon in the afternoon right after the rain stopped. Although most sites were either closed or closing we still enjoyed the Owl's walk and most of the old town. It took us about 5 hours.

Tickets are timed; easy to make reservation at the tourist office. The climb is led by a member of the tourist office staff; they stop several times along the climb to give a bit of history and point out architectural details. When we reached the top the 360 degree view was stunning, and we did not at all feel rushed to get our pictures and then climb down. Great way to spend 45 minutes!

What a wonderful way to spend an evening. Sipping a glass of wine in one of the many outdoor cafes, watching the children enjoy the fountains. Delightful.

The marriage of wine and culture is a perfect success. The escape is complete and the eyes are sparkling Visit in the heart of Beaune the largest cellars of Burgundy.
We took the Patriarche Tour when we were in Beaune. We have toured the Alsace and the Champagne Regions and this was our first foray into this region. This was an excellent introduction and we did buy some wine and had it shipped to our home. This is a large cellar with very good wines and an excellent introduction for anyone who is looking for an introduction into Burgundy wines. The tour is informative and well done. You visit the caves and get a sense of the larger producer facilities which are all over Bourgogne. Good choice.

My husband and I visited the tasting room on the recommendation from several other travelers and were very pleased. We wanted whites and we were served some of the best on the trip! If you are lucky you will have Yannick be your host! Call ahead to confirm they are available. You can book a tour of the cellars or just a tasting. Our tasting of four whites was free - they gave a white Grand Cru that we were lucky enough to try and it was the BEST Chardonnay I’ve ever tasted.
