I was part of the Circle B business and family for many years-since the 1970's when they were a guest ranch. I rode there, worked there, played there and returned many times...so my review is not impartial. However, as a venue for trail riding, hay rides and sleigh rides, the Circle B had no equal. They maintained the best quality, best trained, most enjoyable string of riding horses anywhere. The Circle B horses were up to the level of the better camp horses and any went on to become private pleasure mounts. The trails are lovely, the guides competent and friendly and safety is always a priority.
Under the leadership of Chris Boggia, the Circle B was the most enjoyable place to ride rental horses and have a good experience. I do not know what the future will bring, as Chris died recently and his loved ones are mourning. RIP, Chris. Long Live the Circle B!

I chose Natural Bridge as a stop on our way to Lake Placid. We arrived around 1:30 on a Sunday afternoon and the parking lot was pretty full which was a bit unexpected because we saw no cars on the way down the road that leads to this destination. My twelve year old daughter decided she would do the scavenger hunt, which I think is a nice activity for kids. Plus, you get to choose from three prizes at the end of completing the hunt (find a hidden word within the clues). My daughter chose a poster. The paths are well marked and there are handrails to hold. The difficulty may come in navigating the stairs, which at times are unevenly spaced heights. This can't be helped to the natural environment, but something to be aware of, and can definitely wear out your knees. Also, even though it had not rained that day, there were still some muddy parts to navigate and the edges of steps, though mostly tacked with rubber strips to prevent slipping, can still be slippery. I recommend good shoes, as I slipped even in my hiking shoes on one of the rubber edges. There is a bin of wooden walking sticks provided for your use, so take advantage. We did not do any of the extra activities, only the regular numbered trail. We were back to our car within an hour. Overall a good experience.

We took the 2 day overnight rafting trip through the Hudson River Gorge this past weekend and Square Eddy could not have delivered a better experience. Partners Lori Phoebe and Linc really brought us into the Square Eddy family.
From reservations to suggestions for local lodging the night before and breakfast the morning of or trip to working with us on a menu for our meals to supplying us with dry bags for the journey and outfitting us with our gear, the prep work was flawless.
And then they got better. Every Square Eddy employee we worked with was a star in their own right. Special thanks to Jake who piloted or gear boat, ran our camp kitchen and kept our kids fed and happy.
I cannot say enough about Linc's leadership of our trip. His energy, spirit passion for the north country, knowledge of its history, desire to share it and expertise on the water made for a perfect trip.
Lori Phoebe set up our provisions, fulfilled some kid specific requests and filled the cooler with some delicious homemade items. The kicker was when we met up with her day trip crew on Sunday and she sang her original song about the river! Who knew she had a beautiful voice too!
That this is truly a family business is highlighted by being greeted upon our return to base by Linc's parents with the reward of a cold beer, a hot dog and the chill afternoon vibe of a family BBQ.
On the river we could really see that Square Eddy is focused on providing an experience that you could drink in as we observed other larger operators pushing their guests down the river as quickly as possible.
We will be back!

We had a family of 12. We called and we're told we would have two rafts of six plus guide which is what we wanted so we could splash each other. When we were ready to go (by the river)we were squashed on one raft of 12 plus guide. Four had to sit in middle and not paddle while 8 were on edges. Apparently at that stage they didn't have another guide. Afterwards, Management refused to adjust the price.

This is a moderately strenuous climb. I am 59 years old and in good shape. I made the top in 1 hour 55 minutes and made the trip down in 1 hour and 40 minutes. The trail is very rocky. Watch your step - poles will help (I did not have any). There are no views until right before the trail splits for Porter Mountain and then the summit views. You can see Lake Placid's ski jump and the surrounding area. The summit was very windy when I was there. Parking is adequate at the trail head but I assume it gets crowded at times.

My husband loves this brewery, so we drive more than an hour to visit it. The food truck has some terrific items that compliment the great selection of beers made here. It makes for a wonderful afternoon trip on a nice day. We always bring some home to enjoy and extend the pleasure.

Heard about this place but words cannot do it justice. Walking in the smell overwhelms the senses. Just saying try the German potato salad makes my mouth water. The bologna and liverwurst fresh and delicious and beautifully sliced. Porterhouse steak as good as I have ever eaten out or cooked in. Smoked mozzarella, if you like smoked cheese, is to die for. They also stock local cheese spreads and their champagne cheddar spread is perfect with any cracker. If you are in Warrensburg or any where near Warrensburg - stop in and enjoy.
