The museum itself is composed of two buildings, one of which hosts an entire exhibition of the remains of the Roman city of Celeia which is a really impressive experience. The employees of both buildings are extremely friendly and will be glad to answer any questions you might have. If you’re visiting Celje, be sure to take the time to see this museum!

We are a Tourist Information Centre Celje with a pavillion that shows the remains of two ancient Roman city villas from 3rd century and the basement area of the first City Hall from 15th century. Here you can learn more about our history and our attractions, where to go and what to see. We also have a souvenir shop and offer guided tours of the town, which need to be reserved in advance.

The largest tree house in Slovenia has a unique design with views in all directions and can be used as an observatory of the forrest. It is made entirely of Douglas fir, the wood native to the urban forest. A playground for children is located a bit lower down hill under the tree house in the clearing.

Beautiful exterior, that you notice as you go around town. Fairly central location, but this is a small town regardless. One of the highlights of my day is Celje. I was the only one there later in the day on a Sunday.
