This 500-foot ship is the training location of the Maine Maritime Academy.
A tour of the ship is worth the time. Interesting to see where the cadets bunk and the functional sections of the ship such as the mess deck and the various training rooms.

we took a walking tour of Castine with the Historical Society. The tour was a lovely walk stopping at points and places of interest in this lovely historical town. The tour lasted a little over an hour, Dabney was our guide - great tidbits of information about the town past and present, a lovely stroll and very interesting. Highly recommend. If you didn't love the town before, you certainly will after.
