First, you can only access the island by boat, kayak, paddle board, canoe, etc!
BUT, the journey there is awesome! We saw dolphin, birds, fish, and manatee. We parked our car ($3) and paddled across the ICW. Followed the mangroves, under the little bridge to the lagoon and then on to the docking area of the island. PS- when approaching the docks, stay to the left and paddle in front of dock to access the beach). There is a $2 per person charge for use of the island. Once our boards were secure (there is a rack or leave them near the beach) we walked a short distance to the picnic pavilion and restrooms, then onto the beautiful, quiet beach. Snorkeling and shelling are awesome here. Spend a great day at this beach. WHen paddling back we found the mangrove tunnel- a 'must'! Follow the tunnel to the open lagoon and enjoy more secluded nature!

Come join us on the water for Sunset Tours, Sunset with Live Music, Eco/Lunch Cruise, Sandbar Trip, Private Charters
We had a great time! The captain's maintained a casual and fun atmosphere, but also kept their professialism when it came to safety. The boat was stable, so nobody, including my wife got sick. We even saw the green flash! Highly recommend the sunset cruise!Thank You! Captain Brian

We went here on a very windy day for a picnic and to check out the nature trail. There are a few tables near the restrooms and parking lot. After lunch we hiked the 1.3 mile trail one way to the end of stump pass. Its worth the hike if you love nature, walking, playing and enjoying the water. The dolphins were all over the intercostal at the end and we enjoyed watching them as always. We were happy to see an area roped off for the nesting shore birds. Just an awesome place to rest and relax and enjoy the beauty of stump pass. We can't wait to go back again and enjoy the experience of nature and the beauty of God's creations!

Love my fishing and have been out with Captain Erick 2 or 3 times. You couldn't do better believe me. You catch plenty, but Erick is great. Knows his fishing, the ecology, the water. The boat is always in great nick, the equipment first class.
I'll be back next year, and wouldn't dream of going out with anyone else.

Went on my first kayak experience yesterday with my 26 yr old son. Bear was our guide and I don't think we could have found a better guide for this experience. His knowledge was amazing to say the least. He really made me feel at ease since I was a bit nervous not knowing exactly what to expect. This was an incredible experience for this mom and her son for a birthday I will treasure. It will be something we will do again. Thanks so much Bear and we look forward to seeing you again hopefully soon!

When a golf course offers free breakfasts and a couple of beers, that tells you volumes about the condition of the course. This course has potential and the courses affiliated with this course is doing everything they can to get people to golf. Traps are lacking sand and inconsistent. Fairway grass is cut way to short and the tees are in need of repair.

If you visit Fishery Road for lunch at the Fishery Restaurant, you're on the site of a once-thriving fishery founded in 1944. It's a historic, but highly valuable, waterfront property and therefore the kind of endangered site that should be preserved in the National Historic Register, like El Jobean's Bean Depot Cafe. Unfortunately, it won't be, because it is owned by a major mortgage company.
While you're there, you'll find yourself drawn to this beach-scented paradise of a gift and art gallery on Fishery Circle, which once housed fishermen in its cottages.
Margaret and Garry Albritton, heirs to the property, operate the unique shop. Take the time to chat with them, and you'll learn some history, too. Unlike many local attractions, they promise to remain open all summer and host Saturday art shows, featuring high-end ceramics, sculpture, paintings, and original jewelry.
