I have driven several grade school field trips to Hinchley's for a day on a dairy farm. Young students are awed at the size of cows, how they are milked, seeing "crops" close up, and all the other activity it takes to run a functioning farm. Hinchley's is a "must see" for every city-grown child.

The Fireside Dinner Theatre is one of the Midwest's most popular entertainment destinations and the only Actor's Equity dinner theatre in Wisconsin. The Klopcic family is proud to celebrate 50 years of hospitality in charming, historic Fort Atkinson. The Fireside Dinner Theatre, a favorite destination for couples, families and tour groups alike offers a variety of things to do. Browse the unique gift shops, enjoy award-winning cuisine, and top off the evening with one of the best professional theatre experiences Wisconsin has to offer.
It's hard to miss any musical at the Fireside but it always a treat to see the Christmas musicals. This year it is "Miracle on 34th street" and Kris Kringle is just awesome. Dinner as always was very good and don't miss the Red velvet cake with cinnamon ice cream.

We are one of Wisconsin's most unique urban wineries in a re-purposed early 20th-century gas station. We specialize in small-batch, hand crafted "California Style" award-winning wines. We have won many gold and silver medals at the World Wine Competition and Finger Lakes Wine Competition. Free samples available. We also have a large variety of artisan Wisconsin cheeses, craft beers and gourmet chocolates. We've also opened a bistro focused on the farm to table experience. Not only delicious wine but delicious food too.
We attended a dinner play at Lewis Station. Although the play was great, the food was excellent! It was served buffet style with several choices for salads, main course and dessert. The chef was right at the table watching over it and commenting and answering any questions. Two glasses of Lewis station wine was included in the ticket price. We look forward to attending again!

We were visiting friends up in WI and they took us here to have a few brews. The place is very nice, clean and inviting. They had a great selection of beers and friendly staff. I had the Bitter Woman and my husband had the Down & Dirty. Both were pretty good. The brewery was beautiful with it's 30 BBL Sprinkman brewhouse. Check them out, you won't be disappointed.

Located near a few small towns, this little known county park is good if you are nearby. You can tell it developed over time and improvements have been made. The river didn't seem as welcoming with no apparent access point to get in and splash, a pretty rapid current and straight. From entrance B there is a pay station ($5 / day pass to ride and $5 / day pass for dogs, annual passes were $30 I think). Walking trails with a few good hills make a short double loop and you are never out of audio range of the road, connecting with the long bridge to several more miles of trails. There is a little free library tucked along this path. My partner enjoyed the bicycling, there are some real hills. There are playgrounds and a shelter with flush toilets and cold running water, no showers. Give yourself 2-3 hours on bicycle.

Very much dependent on visitors expectations.
Those interested in accepted history will find the site long in generality and theory, little in evidence. Educational markers decayed or vandalized. Disappointing.
The average visitor will find little more than a lumpy field with restrooms and a nice picnic area with a safe decent tasting well. Enjoyable short and easy nature walk looking for bugs and sighting birds. As with most rural areas in Wisconsin, those who forage while walking find some seasonal opportunities. Good place to let the kids run. Nothing particularly exciting but enjoyable.
Apparent mystery of the site presents those with an interest in alternate history a vibrant stage easy for the minds eye to project events upon. Possibilities swirl as hours quickly slip by. Must see.

We had a vendor event today at the facility. Excellent food and beverage service all day by their staff.
We four stayed for dinner - always delightful.
Tonight's menu choices: Garden pea hummus with crostini & veggies. Interesting... better than regular hummus and beautifully presented.
Grilled monkfish tacos -- mild & delicious.
Grilled Ceasar salad -- also tasty.
Chocolate cake with strawberries-- the perfect finish, not too sweet.
The other three declared the Bloody Mary to be very good.

I love the way Wisconsin bike trails are clearly labeled and easy to find for out of state travelers. There is parking. This does not happen all over the US. This trail is beautiful to ride. There are small towns along the route. We felt lucky to be riding on a sunny spring day with lots of flowers blooming, beautiful bridges, rivers and a lake. The scenery was spectacular with newly planted fields. I felt fortunate to have the chance to experience this place.

This off-the-beaten-path park is home to a wildflower prairie, a forested woodland and lake and marshland. The combination of these environments creates a wonderful diversity of nature for anyone who visits.
As you enter the park there is a huge prairie of wildflowers bordering the road. The first thing you will notice...or rather hear...are the song birds. Blue birds and purple martins trill in the flowers and in the bird boxes and houses that have been placed in the field. Second to the many birds are butterflies and dragonflies.
The bird tweets continue as you hike to the forested area and down to Rose Lake, a Wisconsin state nature area. This is a shallow lake that is abundantly rich in plants, insects and frogs. Here, you will find ducks, geese and other waterfowl feeding. Signage at the observation platform tells visitors that Rose Lake is a major migratory stopover for white pelicans in Spring, a reason for me to plan another trip here to
seem them.
None of the trails that take you through these areas is difficult or long. In fact, most the the trail loops average about a half mile, the longest is a mile. So, if you are looking for a long and strenuous day hike, this is not the place. But if you are looking for a gem of a nature experience, you will not be disappointed. And, there are several bonuses to be discovered if you visit.
Bonuses:
- A huge timbered shelter with picnic tables is located off the parking lot. It's a great place to picnic. However, if you walk down to Rose Lake there is an observation platform with tables and benches, and you can eat overlooking the lake.
- A significant find off one of the trails is a Native American turtle effigy mound. It is clearly marked by signage and fencing. It is well taken care of and wonderful to see.
- There's art in this park. Now through October 2016 a 3/4-mile art trail has been created and incorporated into one of the park's regular trails. Ten artists have made an Earth Art Lab, where they have mixed art with nature. A brochure is available for
interpretation.
Notes: There are maps and brochures that explain trails and significant natural elements and other park features located at a kiosk off the parking lot. There are only non-flushing toilets. The park is open all year and changes with the seasons. The trails are open for cross country skiing and snow shoeing in Winter.

The Matt Kenseth Racing Museum chronicles the career of NASCAR champion and Cambridge native Matt Kenseth through exhibits, stock cars, trophies, and other memorabilia. Admission to the MKFC headquarters is free and visitors are welcome to take photos as they view the exhibits and cars. We feature a merchandise/souvenir store where Matt Kenseth Fan Club members receive a 10% discount.
We have visited both Kenseth museums and stores. The new location is smaller and cramped but is a nice addition to downtown Cambridge. Every city should have a similar draw for its downtown. Having said that, you can not only purchase merchandise, but you get a feel for what it takes to build and drive a NASCAR automobile. There is "Matt" history from little boy on to little-boy-at-heart who quietly leads in a grueling high pressure weekly world class event. We love this place and having Matt as a great Wisconsin role model.
