Butte's gold rush past is evident in its vintage signs, historic buildings and numerous trolleys and tours devoted to the memory of mining days. Its historic landmark district boasts some of the country's best collections of Victorian architecture as well as preserved gems from the early 20th century. Beyond its history, though, Butte has a wealth of activities and attractions to offer, from outdoor adventures in the surrounding wilds to arts and culture in the city's museums and galleries.

Founded on a passion for Butte and for great spirits, Headframe Spirits is proud to produce distilled spirits in uptown Butte. We're easily located on the corner of Montana & Galena with parking on both sides of our building. Our tasting room is open 10-8 Monday thru Saturday and 12-5 on Sunday. Swing in to samples some spirits and to immerse yourself in Butte's history and culture. Our knowledgable tasting room staff will happily make you a cocktail or two and share some of the stories from Butte's colorful past. We're family friendly, with a fun selection of non-alcoholic beverages to choose from. While we don't serve food in the tasting room, don't be shy about grabbing lunch or dinner from one of our local restaurants and bringing it in!Call ahead to schedule a tour!
Of course, the spirits have to be the best part of visiting a distillery. Because of the Irish influence on Butte, this place has a great selection of bourbon, rye, Irish whiskey, and single-malt whiskey. There's also grain-based vodka and gin. You ask for a tasting, and can have eight, or four and a serious drink as part of the deal. On a gray afternoon, we did the four each and ended with a traditional Martini and a Moscow mule. We were not disappointed. Midafternoon, we had the place to ourselves. Go early and stay late!

The Archives collects the history of Butte and Silver Bow County. Whether you're interested in Butte history, researching your family roots, or to view our rotating exhibits, there's something for the historian in everyone.
Butte is proud of its diverse and rich history and this place is extremely well funded and well run. Attractive building, too and really well laid out. I visited briefly a couple of times and barely began to scratch the surface. If you have any interest in the local history or any family roots in Butte, by all means check it out and you'll be impressed. I wish I had taken a tour. Next time.

Free! As part of the college, it is in a great old building on top of a hill. Wonderful views of Butte. If you like gems and minerals and history, you will like this little 'gem' of a museum.

I was here at Stodden Park when they finished this park. It is gorgeous!. Once you enter, you see a huge sign: "The Stodden Park." There was a huge shelter and lots of picnic tables. All was new when I arrived here. They had a large swimming pool and all the gadgets with water. It was huge as well. There was also a playground with no water. There is a carousel as well. There is here as well tennis and gold. This is for anyone, young and old. Enjoy! A must see!
