Bushkill Falls, a series of eight cascading waterfalls, is one of the state’s most popular outdoor destinations. Nestled in the Pocono Mountains, the Falls – known as the Niagara of Pennsylvania –are a favorite of hikers, fishermen, birdwatchers and all those who treasure the nature’s beauty. Closed November - April.
Beautiful, mind-blowing, a feast for the eyes, unique and serene. One waterfall after the other tumbling down - awesome display of nature at this wonderful spot. A good work-out if you do all the climbs down and then up again but surely worthwhile.

I haven't skied in almost eight years so I rented equipment and took a lesson. It was ideal for getting up and going constantly, I learned very quickly and easily with their slopes providing quality challenges. The bar area was nice enough but it's a sort of 'ski in ski out' location. Don't come for atmosphere, come to be on your feet the whole time

Recreated 19th-century village is located in the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area.
Millbrook Village is scenic step back in time. A trail leads you to a well, old homes, a church and few buildings. It was peaceful it a country-like setting.

guided horseback rides through the woods. Limit of 4 riders per tour. Weight limit 250 pounds.
My three year old has been obsessed with horses since before he could talk. A trip to the Poconos with extended family seemed like the perfect opportunity to actually get him on horseback. We could not have asked for a more patient and accommodating guide than Eileen. We were able to arrange a tour with very little notice--we called and left a message, Eileen returned the call quickly, and we were riding within an hour. Pepper was the perfect horse for my toddler and me to share, and my brother and father (also relative novices) accompanied us on a 45 minute walk through the woods. I was worried my son would freak out, and I know he was nervous at times, particularly going down hill, but Eileen kept him distracted with a running commentary on the woods, and soon he was pointing out mushrooms and fallen trees, Eileen obviously loves her horses and knows them very very well--she was predicting their every move. This is the perfect tour for anyone with young children, for the newbie looking to ride through a beautiful setting, and anyone who wants to bond with a true lover of horses.

I thought my wife and I had seen all the waterfalls between Stroudsburg and Milford, and then we hear about this one, so we had to go there. It was worth the stop. Its a great little waterfall that may be off the beaten path, but that what makes it beautiful; its so unspoiled.

Took a guided hike with a group of people as we were staying at a nearby spa. The experience was amazing. Nice trails and walking in the woods just has an incredible positive impact on my overall wellness - can't describe in words. There is...MoreThank you for the review. We hope see you at PEEC again in the future.

My children are from the Shawnee tribe and I can rarely find information about the tribe. They have an entire floor of books sorted by tribe, including lots of books for kids about tribal customs. Clothing, toys, dolls, cds, moccassins, postcards, you name it--they had it all! A boy scout troupe was there touring who were having a lot of fun. Good for all ages.

Part of the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation area, this beach offers swimming, rafting and other outdoor adventures.
This "beach" is nothing but a tiny roped off area with hard, point rocks. We visited the middle of July and spent less than 10 minutes there. The swimming part was so crowded you basically had to stand still, that's if you could stand to be on a point rock for more than a minute. They do have a large picnic area but the day we were there, it was taken over by one large gorup who were blasting music and had large bonfire going. Even the area to put your chair is just rocks.
What a waste of time. And for all this, we got to pay $10 to pull in.

Experience the thrill of snowtubing year-round at Fernwood Resort with the opening of Blue Lightning all season tubing, the only all season tubing facility in the Pocono Mountains with a Magic Carpet lift and two 400 foot tubing lanes. Ride to the top, walk off and start tubing by sitting down on the tube and gliding down on the special runs that allow tubing without snow or water. Open Thursdays
We took the kids here for snow tubing over the holidays. The kids had a blast and can't wait to go again.

When visiting the Pocono Bazaar Marketplace, a definite must to stop by when you're finished shopping is "The Best Fried Chicken North of the South". This was my second time there since last summer and my fiancé and I absolutely love her food. I know everyone knows someone who has the best fried chicken, but this is not exaggeration, you have got to taste her fried chicken, fish, shrimp macaroni and cheese and collard greens. Just taste everything, I guarantee it, you will visit her time and time again. She has flavored hot sauce as well. Pineapple, Guava, Mango, to die for. We visited her stand the day before Easter. We had a craving for her chicken and drove from Jersey just to satisfy our craving. We didn't shop, we just wanted the chicken. You've gotta try it. It's worth a day trip from anywhere. Enjoy!
