Tejas Rodeo Company is a hidden gem, tucked away in the corner of Bulverde, Texas, just north of San Antonio. There’s fun for the whole family out at Tejas Rodeo! In addition to a live open pro-rodeo produced every Saturday nine months out of the year, we have a steakhouse with an award winning menu, authentic outdoor food and ice cold drinks, a pavilion and stage for live music, and several horse clinics and special events throughout the year. Like what you see? During non-event days, we can host your event! New to the rodeo scene? Don’t forget we have horse boarding facilities and offer riding lessons as well. As our onsite restaurant, Tejas Steakhouse and Saloon, is gaining recognition, we recommend making reservations to ensure you and your party have a guaranteed great time! Rodeos, followed each weekend by a dance with live music, run from March through November every year- “9 months of rodeo, 3 months of rodeo!”
The Tejas Rodeo Company puts on a show to remember, professional cowboys and cowgals compete for prize money in a fast paced non-stop rodeo. Bull riding, calf roping, barrel racing and other traditional rodeo events feature some of the top rodeo professionals in the country....MoreThank you so much for your review! Glad you enjoyed it ?

State park known for great bird watching that offers tent-only and RV/tent sites.
Went kayaking with my son. Since it’s winter it was almost deserted.
The views are beautiful passing through different sceneries.
It is only a small section of the river.
During summer people swim, tube and kayak. If you get away from critics it gets to be a beautiful place to go.
Not to many things to do in SA and this is definitely am obligated activity.

"Cowboy the Ox" and I are enjoying a ride in the Bulverde Jubilee Parade. He stands over 18 hands tall and is such a sight to see. After the parade he is available to sit on for pictures and rides. We also offer pony and horseback rides and our USDA licensed petting zoo here at The Farmyard or delivered to your location or event. Hope to see ya'll soon! Happy Trails, Tall Tales & Tickely Tails! Cowgirl Cheri and all the critters here at The Farmyard
When I knew I would be in Texas for a conference one of the things I wanted to do was go to a Texas ranch/farm and take in a sunset trail ride with my husband. Not having any leads I did what most others do.... I googled trail rides in San Antonio. After viewing many sites that seemed to be for ranch vacations I came across The Farmyard! I emailed the contact info and prompty heard back from Cowgirl Cheri. She sounded so sweet and pleasant in explaining all about a sunset trail ride at her farm. I took her up on it. The price was not bad and she offered a 10% discount for paying cash. The farm was a nice little ride outside Downtown San Antonio, about 20-25 minutes in Bulverde. We were able to feed some of the other animals there including Cowboy the Ox. She had such an array of animals there I could not believe it!!! Our 1 hour ride turned out to be closer to nearly 2 hours!!! She obliged to take many photos of us. Even her dogs accompanied us! I would highly recommend her farm to anyone interested in a sunset trail ride. She really gave us our money's worth. Thanks Cheri!!!!

It's been over 30-yrs since I was here last & happen to talk about it with my bestie & he said: Let's Go
The Germaina Farmer Verein began in 1850 with the settlement of German Immigrants to this area & the colony built this structure as a gathering place to hold there meetings & celebrate there harvest. In 1875 the colony adopted the new name known today as Anhalt Halle & started hosting Maifest & Oktoberfest Celebration to share with the surrounding areas, offering endless buffet style German Cuisine such as Pot Roast, Sausage, Sauerkraut, German Potato Salad, Home-Made Bread, Peaches for Desert & Ice Tea and would hold German Music during the afternoon hours then Country Western Music during the evening hours. And back in the days it was always held on a Sunday. I stopped going after my Grandparents passed away in 1995 as they were German descendants & i took them so they could relive the days of there youth.
Several things have changed since I was last there & I'm sure it's due to progress & newer board members to the Verein.
Back Then: once you entered into the dance hall you only paid to dance & it was free to watch from the observation level.
You were not allowed to wear hats on the dance floor.
You were not allowed to bring drinks onto the dance floor.
& when you were ready to eat, you paid the cashier & sat down & started helping yourself to the large ceramic bowls of food. When a bowl ran out one of the lady ushers would exchange it with another full bowl & you would continue to eat as long as you wanted too.
Today: We paid $7.00 to enter the grounds even before reaching the building.
We paid $10.00 and where given a ticket to go into the kitchen & made our way to a counter where food was in large crock-pots & was served to us on a plate instead of helping ourselves. Even though the advertisement for the event still stated "All You Can Eat" we where not sure if we could go get a 2nd plate or not. But i will admit, the 1st plate was loaded & we didn't really need a 2nd plate.
After eating we went into the open aired pavilion & beer stand & sat there watching the dancers for awhile. This is were i noticed several men where wearing hats (german felt hats, cowboy hats, baseball caps)
Then i noticed several people drinking bottle water on the sides of the dance floor, even noticed 2 guys walking across the floor with beer cans in there hand and it made me think. Guess those old house rules don't really apply anymore.
We watched for about 45-minutes & my bestie noticed a tear or two rolling down my face and he asked if I was ok. I replied: Yes, I'm just remembering what fun i had dancing the polka & waltz music with my Oma (grandma in german) she taught me how to dance & speak the language of my heritage. The band took intermission & we left the event.
Side Note: back then the verenin only used the 4-local polka bands from New Braunfels which offered limited styles of music. Today the verenin uses vary popular Texas Based Czechoslovakia Bands & there style of music is simply #OUTSTANDING I'm very pleased to see progress is working. Continued Success Anhalt Halle.

Come on down (way down) at the largest underground attraction in Texas! Daily guided tours allow guests to explore large underground chambers and see huge formations. The largest room is bigger than a football field. Above ground, discover rocks, minerals, and rough-cut gems at the Natural Bridge Mining Company Sluice. The Canopy Challenge will test your agility on over 40 different obstacles while you are on our 4 story, 60 foot high Adventure Course. Then you can fly across the scenic Texas Hill Country on our zip-lines! (Canopy Challenge is open daily but weather dependent.)
This is far more than just caverns. First the caverns are amazing but you better have your walking shoes and be in fair physical condition, because this is not for the lazy, out of shape, type. It's a hard walk. They have other activities there that are fun for the whole family. We spent 5 hours there and did all we wanted to do.

An African Safari, Texas Style. View and feed species from all over the world in the comfort of your own car.
The best time to visit Natural Bridge Wildlife Ranch is in the early-morning when the animals are hungry, being fed, and not yet bored. We arrived at the ranch at 9:45am just as the park rangers dropped off feed/hay roadside, and we saw close-ups of the animals as they gathered along the road to nibble at the hay. In the morning, the animals are still curious, hungry, and willing to come up to your car looking for food.

To begin with, there is very limited and poorly marked parking. The grounds are small but they too are poorly signed and no one around to tell you where to go. It is very close to other buildings, we weren't sure if it was a complex of buildings, thinking it might be, not sure, we headed to a little saloon type building, encountered a employee and inquired where to go to sign up for a tour, we were lucky to get pointed in the right direction.
I realize it's a small place but,it felt like we were invading, not welcomed. Inside, we ordered a drink, inquired about a tour, we were directed to wait outside. We have done our share of tours and tastings, so we know what to expect.
The guide was friendly and a bit too corny, but he was a nice guy and he was knowledgeable.
From reviews I had expected a lot more going on as far as activities that would make me want to stay and hang out. There was one food truck that was not even open, we were planning on lunch after the tour. We were disappointed because we thought we'd have a nice afternoon date. The place has great potential because there aren't a lot of these types of businesses in the immediate area, time will tell.......

Experience Extreme Escape’s newest location! Four brand new adventures to choose from. The Lost Tomb and The Other Side have broad appeal, including puzzle loving families and children ages 9 and above, while The Cursed and Encounter are suitable for teenagers and adults. We’ve incorporated multi-dimensional elements like life-sized props, special effects and even smells to make your “escape” amazing!
We had a great time here! There ended up being a technical issue with our room but management was amazing. Refunded our money, let us do a room later that night based on availability, and a chance to go again on them for the issue. They went above and beyond to make it right for us and we were blown away by their kindness. The rooms themselves have amazing production value, we did get out with time to spare but didn’t break any records. Our room was the other side, it wasn’t scary but very suspenseful and on the edge the whole time! I heard lots of frightening screams in the room next to us for the Cursed room so I wouldn’t advise doing that one if your not into scary stuff like me! Maybe stick with alien encounter or Lost temple for the less scary rooms

Love this theatre!
Menu is pretty extensive, can always find something good for me and for the kids.
Seats are very comfortable, no issues with heads in the way because the seating is steep, well planned.
Service has always been cordial and with good timing.
They do have a "no late policy"; so they might deny entrance for people who don't arrive on time.
