Unfortunately due to Covid restrictions the island itself was inaccessible but the property is still gorgeous. The people working there are lovely and very informative. Had poutine at the little take-out. Yum!! Would highly recommend. Hope to get back when everything is open.

Besides that we love Bouctouche itself we like even more this Arboretum. It's like an oasis of gorgeous trees and flowers close to the ocean. Huge collection of unusual trees, beautiful gardens full of very tastefully selected plants and flowers and bushes. At the time of our visit everything was blooming. There were lots of wild bees and honey bees, butterflies and other insects, lots of birds, groundhogs and deer. All park is nicely maintained. It was a great pleasure to be there. We also had a picnic which was delightful.

We didn't know what to expect going in, however, we decided to take the guided tour. There is 3 levels and were completely blown away by the chapel. It's beautiful and isn't anything that we've ever seen in Canada before. We would recommend the tour if you don't know French as many of the signs for the artifacts were in French.
