Lingering over pain au chocolat in a sidewalk café, relaxing after a day of strolling along the Seine and marveling at icons like the Eiffel Tower and the Arc de Triomphe… the perfect Paris experience combines leisure and liveliness with enough time to savor both an exquisite meal and exhibits at the Louvre. Awaken your spirit at Notre Dame, bargain hunt at the Marché aux Puces de Montreuil or for goodies at the Marché Biologique Raspail, then cap it all off with a risqué show at the Moulin Rouge.

Absolutely stunning visually, peaceful. A delightful moment of relaxation & escape, if only for a few minutes. However, I spent half of my morning simply wondering the grounds. A light drizzle moved in and though the tourists may have been scurrying away, the joggers, locals and wildlife carried on. I felt so relaxed and unhurried. I watched swans and geese being fed nearly by hand. I videoed a crow devour a deceased rat. Hey, it's Paris. Of COURSE there are rats. A very short walk from Porte Dorée with its light-rail stop - exempt from the Paris Metro Strike - this quick getaway is a spot I shall revisit, once COVID has moved on and I'm allowed back into Paris. I have a new love in my life. She will adore this space. I'm sure you will as well. I bid you Peace. ~Jan 1, 2020

In just a few words: - An exceptional, amusing and exciting universe - 1,255 races every year: 8 races at lunchtime, 7 during dinner - Mythical Grands Prix: Prix d’Amérique Opodo, Prix du Président de la République, … - A restaurant seating 1,180 guests with a panoramic view of the races - Lunch or dinner, betting on horses in one or more races: you are in charge of the play! - And should you want more, take a one and a half hour visit behind the scenes at the racecourse. Where to eat ? Three venues, three atmospheres where you find everything you would like! The Restaurant Le Panoramique and its carré premium: here, high up, you have a fantastic position opposite the finishing line.
The greatest trotting racetrack in the world, been visiting the track for the last 32 years . I have seen the best trotters there such as Ourasi , Queila Gede , Varenne , General du Pommeau , Ready Cash , Bold Eagle . The track offers free transportation from Vincennes Metro and Joinville le Pont. If you have never been make sure you do on your next visit to Paris.

Situated on the right bank of the River Seine, the district has been significantly reorganized in recent decades, especially in the areas of Cour Saint-Émilion and Bercy, which now contain the French Ministry of Finances and the Bercy arena. The 12th arrondissement contains the Opéra de la Bastille, the second largest opera house in Paris. It was inaugurated in 1989, on the 200th anniversary of the storming of the Bastille. The Bois de Vincennes is also located in this arrondissement.
The Coulee Verte / Promenade Plantee / Greenway, an elevated park on the top of an old railway viaduct. The park was inaugurated in 1993 and until New York’s High Line park opened in 2009, it was the only elevated park in the world. What a fabulous walk we had - no scooters or bikes and only a couple of joggers. We did a couple of kms (the walk totals 4.7 km if you go right to the end) and then did a u-turn and came back part of the way before taking the stairs down to street level and walking along the Viaduc des Arts. The bottom of the viaduct, under the massive arches, is now home to artisans and crafts people of all descriptions for use as studios or ‘ateliers’ - everything from lamp makers to violin and piano makers.
