Lingering over pain au chocolat in a sidewalk café, relaxing after a day of strolling along the Seine and marveling at icons like the Eiffel Tower and the Arc de Triomphe… the perfect Paris experience combines leisure and liveliness with enough time to savor both an exquisite meal and exhibits at the Louvre. Awaken your spirit at Notre Dame, bargain hunt at the Marché aux Puces de Montreuil or for goodies at the Marché Biologique Raspail, then cap it all off with a risqué show at the Moulin Rouge.

This was beautiful, enchanting, and botanically interesting. Escape into another world. But if I understand correctly,an ugly roland garros tennis court stadium will destroy it. What an ugly american thing to do...is this really Paris...is this really France. If true, no different than anywhere else. Paving paradise for a parking lot, I mean tennis stadium. Until then, see this beauty,so meticulously maintained. Tell me this not true.

This is a beautiful corner of the Boulogne Park, notable for the massive and perfect rose gardens. So come in the spring when they are in bloom. Do some research as to which bus to take from the Metro, otherwise you have to walk about 30 minutes or take a cab. It's just lovely.

With its ornate 19th century buildings, large avenues, prestigious schools, museums and various parks, the arrondissement has long been known as one of French high society's favorite places of residence. The 16th arrondissement hosts several large sporting venues, including: the Parc des Princes, which is the stadium where Paris Saint-Germain football club plays its home matches; Roland Garros Stadium, where the French Open tennis championships are held; and Stade Jean-Bouin, home to the Stade Français rugby union club. The Bois de Boulogne, the second-largest public park in Paris (behind only the Bois de Vincennes), is also located in this arrondissement.
My wife and I lived in the 16th for the last three months in 2018. We choose the 16th on a whim and loved it. We stayed in an apartment on the Seine with the Ave de Versailles as our backdrop. We found Le Petit Versailles Cafe to be one of our morning haunts for coffee with the best croissants and the occasional dinner. Ms. Coppla's Giallo Oro Restaurant next door served the best veal we had during our stay, and he is a hoot. When you order the veal you know it's being done because you hearing hammering coming from the kitchen . Cafe Le Mirabeau down the Ave. is another stop for coffee in the morning or for Happy Hours at the beginning of the evening. There are also two great outdoor markets to buy your dinner within walking distance, or just off the Metro. There is an African Chef who prepares exotic treats that must be tried if you are up for a tasty adventure. She is wonderful as she talks to you while cooking and serving. Given the opportunity she will point you out to others that you are "le Mericans" with humor, as she smokes her cigar. This is all being missed by me as I tell this.

Visiting the Fondation Louis Vuiton in Paris is absolutely worth it. The building, designed by Frank Gehry is a pleasure to visit, you will be awed. The current exhibition on the life work of Charlotte Perriand is great as well. An impressive lady way ahead of her time and very actual. We visited on the first friday of the month were there arz special evening activities (included in ticket).watch during the day for micro visits by a guide lighting a few works on each floor. (No additional charge). Parking along the road in the Bois de Boulogne.

Combine music and a solidarity event and Solidays has been created. This festival is organized by the French AIDS awareness group Solidarité sida and takes place at the Longchamp Racecourse in Paris, France. The profits of this three-day festival are donated to organizations fighting AIDS and the artists perform mostly for free in solidarity with the organization. Besides the concerts, there are several other attractions that make you feel alive like a bungee jump! This annual event is mostly held in June and if you don't want to stay on the festival campsite, there are many hotels in the neighborhood.
