Hancock-Clarke House is closed for the season. It will re-open for tours in April 2018. The home of Lexington's first two ministers and the location where John Hancock and Sam Adams were staying on April 18, 1775. Paul Revere stopped here on his famous "Midnight Ride" to warn Hancock and Adams that British troops had left Boston.
I went years ago and then again recently. IT is MUCH better now, both exteriir and interior re done to reflect the time of the Revolution. THe docent was super and had LOTS of interesting tidbits to share... really made the history come alive.

This former textile mill is a reminder of the changes the Industrial Revolution brought to Lowell, and to America.
I have an even greater appreciation for fabric than I did before visiting. The effects of the cotton industry on women's rights, slavery, labor unions, and the Industrial Revolution are fascinating to explore. You get a small (but very loud) feel for what it was like to work in the cotton mills. Ranger Stephen, and the weavers in the mill room, are extremely knowledgable and passionate about the history of Lowell and the mills. So glad we stumbled on the opportunity to explore this important chapter of US History.

Returned after years of not visiting here. The trails are pretty well marked, lush, green and mostly flat. Nice to get out for an afternoon walk and always happy to have a delicious ice cream for motivation at the end! The extreme chocolate is dark, delicious and very rich if you love chocolate ice cream. It's not for the faint of heart! Great way to celebrate National Ice Cream Day!

There are employees everywhere watching the kids making sure they are all playing and jumping safe. It also tires the kids out so that is a plus

I have been here on several occasions. Whether it be date night with the lady, bowling with the friend, or grabbing a drink after work with the guys this place can pretty much cater to anyone. The food is good but basically what you would expect from a bowling alley. Arcade is really nice and uses the new type of load card instead of standard 1990 coin slots.
Have not tried the golf simulators but they are always booked up when I go, so it must be fun!
Make sure you are ready to spend some money though!

The more than 900 acres of this national park run along the route of the battle of Lexington and Concord.
This is a great place filled with historical lessons while you walk. Highly recommend it. The trail is beautiful so hard to believe a battle happened in such a beautiful place. Walk across the bridge and read the battle descriptions. It will take you back in time.

This park commemorates Lowell's integral part in America's Industrial Revolution.
I remember working in a spinning mill when I was younger. You hear the same noise and can understand what the people went through. The canal ride is a wonderful ride and they explain how Lowell utilized the river. Going thru the locks was fantastic.
