Artisan Bread baking courses and Chocolate Making workshops run in small groups in our Victorian Kitchen. Run by experienced chocolatier and baker Magdalena Marsden with more then 17 years of experience. We also run mobile chocolate workshops for birthday, hen or children parties.
I attended the Tempering Workshop with Magdalena and thoroughly enjoyed her help and great knowledge around anything to do with Chocolate I learned so much from her and feel now that I can try out things at home, knowing that most disasters can be rescued. We could take home everything we made, and some extras from Magdalene to start us off at home. Highly recommended course in a lovely house. I'm hoping to go back for more soon.

Love this park, there’s a smashing lake with lots of activities that can be booked, a beautiful house with tea room, family area, swing park, pub (The Stables), pretty flower beds, tennis courts, a bowling green and loads of room to relax. We are blessed to live only a short walk away and use it regularly. Smashing open space for all to enjoy

Christ Church Bexleyheath is a beautiful building with a wonderful feel to it... Everyone is welcome, everyone is include into the family of the church. With 3 services on a Sunday, a mid week service on a Wednesday, plus the church being open for private prayer almost daily, there are lots of opportunities to visit the church for yourselves.

Possibly the best Micropub in London and the South East! The Kentish Belle is all about the little details that make it such a comfortable place to be. We start with solid walnut furniture, William Morris wallpaper adorns our feature wall, fresh-cut flowers and a window of Shooters Hill. We then add only the best cask ales from some of Britain's finest producers as well as a Belgian and British bottle fridge that is ever-changing, a selection of craft gins and specially-selected wines from a local merchant. Children are welcome until 7pm each day, dogs are welcome all of the time. We indulge in regular events to keep things fresh and enjoyable and have a growing clientele of happy customers who return regularly.
I've always been a fan of this amazing venue. And have been going since it opened over 2 years ago. Popped in today to pick up some ciders. Nothing changed. The Kentish Belle is and always will be the nicest local, cosy, genuine micro pub. A must visit when the current climate changes.

INTRODUCTION Set overlooking the award winning Danson Park, this beautiful Grade I listed Palladian villa was officially re-opened by HM Queen Elizabeth II in July 2005. Built by Sir John Boyd in 1766 for his second wife Catherine Chapone, Danson House was originally designed by architect Sir Robert Taylor (who was also the architect of the Bank of England). In the twentieth century the house fell into an almost ruinous state. In 1995 English Heritage identified the house as 'the most significant building at risk in London', signalling the start of a decade of restoration. In 2005 the restored interior opened to the public for the first time in thirty years. REGISTER OFFICE Bexley's Register Office at Danson House Danson House is now the official Register Office for the London Borough of Bexley. Run by Kent County Council on behalf of the London Borough of Bexley, the stunning Grade I Georgian Villa now offers ceremonies including Weddings, Citizenship, Renewal of vows and Welcoming, notice of marriage appointments, nationality checking services and the registration of births and deaths. The Register Office is open from 9am to 5pm Monday to Saturday and can be contacted on the stated number for appointments and enquiries, or via email that has been stated. For more information regarding the Danson House Register Office please visit A Kentish Ceremony. From Monday 18 July onwards death registrations will also take place on the first floor of the Central Library in Bexleyheath every Monday and Wednesday from 9.30am to 5.30pm. HERITAGE TOURS Public opening times Whilst operating as the Borough's Register Office Danson House is also open to the public as a heritage attraction every Sunday from 10am to 4pm. Visitors are able to view the grand rooms on the principal floor as well as the Victorian basement kitchen equipped with historic kitchen items. For more information please contact the stated email address.
I must advise that the house is open for tours on Thursdays between 10 am and 4 pm (last entrants at 3:15) - all other times it is closed to the general public. I believe it is a council restriction as like anything else it all boils down to costs Costs as at January 2020 are £7 per adult or half price for English Heritage members. I cannot speak highly enough of the guided tour of the house. Built in 1766, the guide had some fascinating stories to tell of the history of the house and you just cannot be disappointed by each room that you go in. When you arrive at the top floor, the layout is just astonishing. It also has an elevator that can be used for people with walking disabilities. I am so glad that I went today. It would not appeal to young children though as I think that they would get bored easily as its history, rooms and architecture gives it the "well worth a visit" status and kids would not be keen on this early in their lives. (my opinion only). There is a tea room. Very nicely laid out and the tea was excellent although slightly expensive as was the food. My friend had food and he had no complaints. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The service was excellent. (they do not make the prices). However overall I was happy to pay as like everything else - I would miss it very much if it was no longer there. The toilets were very clean. Another thing that I feel is important in a place where you can spend up to 2 hours (tour plus teas after) As an English Heritage member I would definately take another friend there if the person had not been there before.

We had a guided tour. Strongly recommend the visit if you want to have someone friendly and approachable that is willing to engage your questions on William Morris, his life, those that lived within his inner arts and crafts circle, and the history of this beautiful house.

Living virtually next door this park is excellent for walking my dog, it's well kept and regularly cleaned. There is also an area for smaller children.
