A living museum of delicate ecosystems.
I heard about this place and decided to bring my girls for a visit on their first day of summer break. What a special place! We really loved exploring the gardens and the different sculptures and art pieces. Peaceful hiking along the trails - especially nice to be able to hike along the river. My girls really enjoyed the nature center and wanted to stay and keep exploring long after I was ready to go! So glad we made the trip. We ended up buying a membership and signing up the kids for one of their summer art camps - SO happy we did that! The staff was amazing and the girls had such a good time. Already planning for camp again next year!

Hours listed on TripAdvisor are not always correct! Please confirm hours on our website. This location is home to our iconic round barn and is extremely busy on weekends. We strongly suggest reservations for wine tasting. Walk-ins are based on availability. Live music on weekends May - October as well as special events throughout the year. Check our website for a list of events and details. The Round Barn Grille is also available on the weekends May through October (weather permitting), or you can visit the Round Barn Public House (only 3 miles away) for a full menu featuring locally inspired, made from scratch pub food, great pizzas, 20 beers on tap, as well as our wines and specialty cocktails. Oh yeah, and a kids menu too!
We took a day trip here for my birthday in September with some friends. Great wine and beer selection. Love that they have live music and have food trucks for a bite to eat. The only negative would be that they need more seating especially with shade. We had a great time although it was very Hot!

Family owned and operated with 160 years of grape and fruit growing experience, Lemon Creek is an estate vineyard and winery, producing 25 different wines annually. Specializing in French red varietals and German whites, the winery has been awarded with multiple international gold medals, as well as multiple regional and state Awards.
My husband and I stopped at Lemon Creek while wine touring the area in March 2018. Lemon Creek had a lovely aesthetic appeal to it, and the inside was impressive. It was nicely decorated and very inviting. I wish I could say the same about the staff. They weren't unfriendly, but they lacked that personal service.
The wines were good, but the Spumante was what really stood out! It was fantastic! They had peach and raspberry.
We had a nice stop, but left quickly since there was no conversation between us and our server. We just felt like another bottle purchaser rather than a prime customer.
Definitely a neat stop. We recommend it to others.

Hickory Creek is a very small production winery specializing in European old world style wines made from our local AVA's grapes. Our friendly staff provides tastings in our charming red barn tasting room. Our wines are served at some of the finest restaurants in Chicago and SW Michigan, and are created to pair with food. Current releases include: Riesling (dry and semi-dry), Pinot Gris, Gruner Veltliner, Gewurztraminer, Chardonnay (French Oak and our Zero Oak), Cab Franc Rose, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and our Bordeaux style blend - Melange. We also offer a semi-dry Riesling Blend called Gentil, a semi-dry red called Rouge Doux and our Laughing Labs Red. We are family friendly, dog friendly and offer space for outdoor seating. We hope you'll visit soon!
I thought this place was great. Coming up the drive I immediately became excited as you could see how quaint it was. It is not a huge commercialized place and that is what I liked about it. It is a charming little tasting room where...MoreThanks very much for your kind review! Hope to have you back at our winery soon.

We visited Tree-Mendus for the International Cherry pit spitting contest and just fell in love with the farm. There are orchards in which you can pick fruit yourself, or you can purchase boxed fruit.
My family really enjoyed the tasting counter. We really don't care for apricots, but after sampling the ones grown at the farm, we're sold. The cherries at Tree-Mendus fruit are awesome.
The contest was entertaining to watch and fun to cheer on your favorite contestant. There are multiple brackets for children, teens, women and men. Both men and women are invited to try their skills in the champion bracket.

Love Creek Nature Center is enjoyable all year-round for nature lovers. Watch the birds at the feeders, hike the trails. But in the winter, if there is enough snow on the ground, it gets particularly special. You can cross-country ski, ride a fat tire bicycle, or snowshoe on designated trails. Equipment rental is available if you don't have your own gear, at reasonable prices.
We came here twice over the Christmas break with a group of siblings, sons, daughters, nieces and nephews, and had a blast! One day we rented fat tire bicycles, which we had never ridden before. They were a lot of fun to ride in the snow. The other day we rented skis and went cross-country skiing. As flatlanders from Texas, we don't do much cross-country skiing, but these trails are easy enough to use, and though we weren't graceful, we had fun and got plenty of exercise and fresh air to counter the excess calories we were eating over the holidays.
I am surprised nobody has written about this park before and I had to create a new listing. We've been coming here for years when visiting family in the area, and it is popular with locals. Hopefully I'm not violating some local code for keeping a gem secret for local consumption only!
(I'd share photos, but for some reason, TripAdvisor doesn't let you add photos to a review of a new listing. Bug?)

One of my favorite stops on our three day quest! We got to hang out with Breena! The place was packed! Yet, we still felt like the only ones there! This is a family run place, and I could see the value their visitors!
Wine Tasting: 5 Pours = $10 Bucks! Keep the glass!
It was hard to choose a favorite, because all 5 samples were outstanding! If we had to choose...
Favorite Wine: Cabernet Sauvignon - very powerful balanced flavors!
Breena took a lot of time with us. She told us a great deal of history behind these great wines and the grounds! Top notch!

At Gravity, we specialize in Wine Flights! Get Four 1/4 full glasses of wine paired with cheese and crackers, all on a cool tray to take to your seat. Enjoy this Wine Flight with friends inside our expansive tasting room or on our beautiful deck over looking the lake and vineyards!
We have been here several times & absolutely loved this place from the minute we walked in. The greatest thing we loved best was Gravity offered pairings from little cups of chocolates, different cheeses, crackers, etc with your wine choices Whatever went best with your wine NOW you get 2 cheese cubes, 1little cracker & a mini pretzel thin no matter what wine choices you made. They have a great outdoor patio overlooking the vineyards BUT they were hosting a private party so we were not able to go on the patio & enjoy our wine. They do have outdoor seating on the other side in the sun! I don't know why they couldn't build a pavilion for private parties so ALL their customers can enjoy the beauty of the vineyards!
So in my opinion either the owner has decided a great customer experience like before doesn't matter or they decided to go cheaper but the prices stay the same or go up. It's sad that they took a great experience & changed it for the worse.

My son just recently competed at RedBud for the Loretta Lynn Nationals. The track was top-notch, I have never seen such a well dressed track. The camping was organized. The race was very well run. Cannot wait to travel to this track again to experience motocross at it's best

What a great value for the movies. Cheap ticket prices. Clean theater. Current movie. Even the popcorn and refreshments are less expensive. All in a quaint town with shopping/restaurants in walking distance. Take a walk along the river walk after your movie.
