Check out our brand new Mildred's Market for sandwiches, soups, bakery items and much more great prepared food items. Come and visit our covered bridge and grist mill!
We only planned for a quick stop, but ended up shopping and eating lunch for a two hour visit. This huge store has so many things to look at! Many items are from the time of my youth and prior generations so it seems like a museum, but everything is for sale. Definitely worth the short drive off the interstate to visit.

We visited three Southern New Hampshire wineries on a Saturday afternoon. We arrived at the Walpole Mountain View Winery just in time for a colorful sunset. The wines were quite good, with a surprisingly broad selection. Unlike many other wineries, 100% of the wines are produced from grapes that they grow themselves.
The tasting room is bright, comfortable, and tastefully decorated, with two additional seating areas just behind the main room. The size and seating capacity is deceptively larger than one might expect from the exterior view. For the tastings, each guest selects samples of 6 wines from the list of what is currently available, with the flight accompanied by your choice of an etched souvenir wine glass, either stemmed or stemless. The cost is $10.00 per person, with a menu with an assortment of crackers, cheeses, and other accompaniments that area available for an additional charge.
As the winery makes clear on its website, guests are advised NOT to rely upon GPS to find their way. We can vouch for that. Stay on Route 12, then follow the winery’s signs (some of which are rather small and may be easy to miss if you are not attentive.)

The people in Vermont know their cheese, and those in Grafton excel at cheddar. The shop offers samples of most all of their cheeses, meats and condiments, so you can experiment and discover a new obsession. Their 6 year cheddar (which comes about usually by accident) is the sharpest cheddar I've ever tasted. It puts all other cheddar to shame. My mouth is watering right now as I think of it and write this review. Their smoked and garlic cheddar is also excellent. They also sell wine and bottled beverages.
NOTE: Cheddar cheese will keep for several days unrefrigerated, so buy some to take home. You'll be happy you did.

You can almost picture the congregation singing hymns and fuguing tunes by the likes of Billings. Old meeting house from the late 18th century with many original elements preserved. Very interesting and its spare decoration makes for some neat structural photography. Helpful volunteer was staffing during my visit. Free, but please give them a donation - they have much more work to do. Nice old churchyard to visit as well.

This is a wonderful orchard and event center. They have picturesque views and are often hosts for weddings, parties and other large events. Pick apples. Explore. It's also a great place to come with a date! A cute store with products they make right there at the orchard! Definitely check this place out if you are in the area!

You can visit Chris while he is working and admire his artful work in glassblowing. We go there every once in a while, and we bring the grand kids who love to watch glassblowing process, especially when it is cold outside and so toasty inside.
Chris produces amazing work which is on display and for sale both in his shop and select other shops.
