I can't explain in words the feeling to be so close and touch and interact with these majestic animals,Amazing , Awesome , Unreal does not even compare. The most important thing is that these are elephants that was rescued from certain death,They are not wild elephants tamed for monetary purposes. There is 7 elephants in total. They are so friendly and calm , you can see they have been treated well, when you hear each one's story ,it's heartbreaking. The guide was very informative. The staff was friendly and well organized. The elephant's memory is amazing,We got to hug them , play ball with them , play a memory game with them and had lots of photo opportunities. We took our own photos and also ended up buying the DVD (quality of photos was amazing) Off season is the best time to go , fewer people ,more time with the elephants. I got to place my hand inside the elephant's mouth and feel his tongue while feeding it.I also got kissed twice by the elephant :) This visit was to celebrate my 30th wedding anniversary. This is something I will remember for the rest of my life. I want to take my children there soon.

Take a guided trip around our project and experience the animals of FeraCare Wildlife Centre. You will be driven around by our guide and see a number of South Africa's indigenous, and often endangered wildlife species including the Bat eared fox, the Caracal, African Wild Dog, the black backed jackal, some owl species and of course, the Cheetah.
Feracare Wildlife Centre is a great place in Bela Bela as a stopover. The accomodations are clean and spacious. Have your breakfast while enjoying the beautiful scenery of this place. Feracare is one of the leading wildlife centres with the expertise in rehabilitating cheetahs and other wildlife back into the wild. During your stay you can experience several activities such as feeding cheetahs, cheetah run and do a wildlife tour in the reserve. Every time is coming home far away from home.

Wonderful experience !!! We booked the vehicle for a game drive as friends. Staff were friendly and provided a lot of interesting information during the ride. Even the 11 year olds listened attentively during the 2 hour ride. The animals are very well cared for !!!

Lovely to have the animals roaming amongst the accommodation. The staff were excellent and our few maintenance issues were sorted out very quickly. Accommodation was well stocked and well kept. The game drive guide was excellent. There were 3 different areas with pools, so social distancing wasn't an issue. The only thing that wasn't good was that their self-drive game viewing maps were not good and the roads insufficiently marked. Other than that, it was a great stay.

Fantastic homemade pizza from the wood fired oven in the beautiful garden with delicious craft beer (and you have to try the coffee). Owners are incredibly friendly and welcoming! Surround by dogs and puppies that have been rescued from surrounding areas, it’s a little piece of heaven in the wilderness.
