Batemans Bay Heritage Museum is the new trading name for the Clyde River & Batemans Bay Historical Society Inc. We operate a volunteer-run Museum, which explores the local history of the Batemans Bay and Clyde River areas of the south coast of New South Wales, Australia. The focus is on both early European settlement and Indigenous history. The collection is large and encompasses both internal and external exhibits.
We have been going to the bay for years and have only just discovered this fantastic Museum. You can spend hours going through it. Volunteers running it are worth their weight in gold

Zippity Doo is a kid’s playhouse where you just let your kids entertain themselves while you can have time by yourself or with friends, eating and relaxing with a hot coffee in our cafe. Let’s face it, kids need serious stimulation and if they don’t have things to play with to keep them distracted, things can spiral out of control.
Rainy day time out or just any time, kids have a great time, good food at reasonable prices and staff very friendly and helpful. Going to have birthday party there, great deal and no worries about weather or kids getting bored. Fantastic and will go regularly

Visited today and had a great time. Absolutely loved all the parrots and native birds they had. All healthy and well looked after. They staff were very nice and friendly and helpful! For anyone reading the negative reviews previously, yes they are small (they aren't a zoo and have never advertised as one, majority of their birds and animals are injured wildlife), its very disappointing to see so many people leave negative reviews for such a lovely place especially after they have survived the bushfires and covid. Please go visit and support them instead of putting them down when they are already struggling.

When we saw the Batemans Marine Park, we saw lots of cormorants rejoicing being in the water. The birds were in control. Yacht boats came by. A shelter with a picnic table was available. It was a purely beautiful day in the sun. Enjoyable and worthwhile to see!

An excellent little park to get a different view of the Bay. Worth a visit when passing through Batehaven.

The Village Centre is a bright, modern shopping centre anchored by Coles, Kmart and Aldi. There are a number of cafes and eateries, as well as fashion stores, a chemist, jewellers and more. The centre also features a large undercover parking area accessible from Perry St, a children's playground and a well equipped parents room.
