Barrie’s waterfront is beautiful! There’s always something going on during summer weekends - festivals, celebrations, musicians - lots of activity. During the week it’s great for a daytime or evening stroll along the boardwalk. Fabulous restaurants nearby. The beach is great for a mini summer getaway for the day. There’s even a giant floating water park called Splash On with fun for young and old alike. There are also several boat launches. This is one of my favourite places to be in Barrie!

Leading Ontario's Craft Beer Revolution, the Flying Monkeys brew award-winning beers in their unique waterfront brewhouse right in Barrie’s historic downtown. Known as one of the friendliest, most hospitable tours around, experience for yourself the world of craft brewing. Come on down anytime and enjoy any of our 16 draught beers and fresh local foods in our Tap Room.
We were there for a Christmas party. I had a flight and liked all 4 beers I chose. Also had a couple of others. Their pickle pizza is awesome (if you like dill pickles). We also had their nachos which were very good as well, word of warning - they are huge - definitely for sharing! Our sever was great and knowledgeable about the beers as well. I will go again!

This is a fair sized trail system within the city of Barrie in the southend. Busy at times but is great for mtn bike riding, hikers and dog walkers. The trial has recently been upgraded with signage making it wasy to know where are and to exit at all times. For the mtn biker there are tons of strata segments. Main trail is mainly flat a view small climb. Single track has some decent up and down sections.

Ron Barid's kinetic sculpture on the shore of Kempenfelt Bay has 16 kinetic quills, which rock back and forth when the wind blows. The sculpture serves as a focal point on Barrie's waterfront and provides a navigational aid to both travellers and residents alike.

Our family has walked in Sunnidale Park for over 2 decades. Beautiful and peaceful. The park is a great training area for XC running.

Heritage Park in Barrie, Ontario has lovely places to sit and stroll. It has paid parking right there and I saw security standing by. I observed cyclists and people walking.
