Golden palaces, floating markets, majestic porcelain-laid spires…you've never seen a capital city quite like Bangkok. Visit Pratunam or Siam Square for premium shopping, then unwind in the European-style gardens of Dusit. Thon Buri is home to the awesome Wat Arun temple, and over in Phra Nakhon, you’ll find the Wat Pho temple of the Reclining Buddha. Savor mango sticky rice at a food stall before taking in the gilded splendor of the Grand Palace.

A nice, cozy little bar on the fifth floor of the tiny Baan Wanglang hotel. The hotel is quite easy to find, not so far from the pier. The bar is on the fifth floor, which is also the highest floor of the hotel, it's not very spacious and the decoration is rather simple but gives out a relaxing vibe overall. We went there around 6:30 which is a little too late, we missed the sunset, it would have been really pretty! The outdoor seats are all taken/reserved so i highly recommend calling for reservation in advance. Even though we got the indoor seats, the view was amazing still and we had a great time there! Since we didn't tried any food here, i can only comment on the drinks, we got ourselves a beer (220THB) i think the price is acceptable, the average price of a glass of cocktail is around 250-300 THB. Would definitely come back!

Very insightful and an eye opener. Worth the visit. The displays were not as gory as described. Only thing they removed the serial killer. Was looking forward to seeing that.

Over a hundred years ago, this temple was the residence of one of the highest respect supreme patriarch of the kingdom. Nowadays, the people casted a hugh figurine in memory of the supreme patriarch that stands high by the pier on the bank of Chao Phraya River.

This market is located on the other side of the river to the Maharaj ferry terminal at the Maharaj shopping complex. You catch the river ferry which are the rectangle ferry's with no sides. The ferry cost is 15 cents. The market kicks off around 8.00am and goes till after dark. This market is both wet and dry and locals buy there breakfast, lunch and dinner here. Clothing, shoes, fruit, vegetables, you name it its here.Everything a Bangkok local would want including banks. Very small laneways with 100's of shops, also 7/11 minimart in the middle of it selling beers. 3 longnecks for $7.50. No wine sales. Plenty of coffee too, $2.00 cappuccino with real cows milk not condensed. Busy on weekends with Asian tourists. While you are there and if you have a strong stomach, visit the Anatomical Museum in the Sirriraj Hospital across the road from the market. I wont go into what you will see, but lets say you might want to visit on an empty stomach. Incredible and educational.
