*YOU MUST MAKE AN APPOINTMENT AHEAD OF TIME FOR YOUR VISIT as we are a working farm and are not always available to answer the phone during the day* Dakota Ridge Farm was established in 1990 when we obtained our first llama, Dakota, as a wedding present from Gary to Katrina. Since then, many more of these regal, magical and mystical creatures have arrived. Located in beautiful upstate New York, just south of Saratoga Springs, Dakota Ridge Farm is situated on 42 acres of woods, creek side, ponds and pastures. We offer farm tours, llama treks, pet therapy (including special needs groups), educational visits, as well as sales, rescue and re-homing of llamas. Our farm has had visitors from as far away as China, Japan, Australia, and all parts of the U.S.
July 20 my grandson had his birthday party at Dakota Ridge Farm. It was wonderful! Gary and Katrina took their time with the us and made sure everyone had a chance to walk, brush, feed and hug the Llamas. The tour was informative, casual and moved from meeting one Llama to being comfortable standing in a barn with many large Llamas! We were also able to use a screened in area for the party. It was charming, inviting and we enjoyed our lunch and birthday cupcakes! Everyone at the party loved the opportunity to interact with the beautiful Llamas. Thank you Katrina and Gary for hosting a birthday party we will never forget!

I dropped my wife and her Mom off here for a few hours and they both had such a wonderful time. The shop is 1st class, the 2 workers there were both very helpful and it was so peaceful and fun. They really loved it.

Definitely worth visiting if you are in Ballston Spa. Interesting small museum that houses a unique collection of bottles including antique glass fire extinguishers. Staff has great knowledge of the history of bottles.
