80 kms approximatley from Bhawalpur, taking you via the by pass of Ahmedpur- East. A very scenic place for the tourist ( domestic and International ). I came here to visit with my family. Only issue here is the seating arrangement which isn't very comfortable which goes through corn fields, cotton crops & fruit farms . The road's are very much good to reach here. The details means " Five Rivers - two rivers Sutlej & Chenab" merge. This is located near the city of UCH Sharif and the popular thing here is the Fish which is very delicious. Very popular in the season of Winter. I had the chance to take a few drone shots with my DJI

The site is where Alexander the Great founded a city, though none of that is visible. There is no public transport and little in the way of tourist facilities but if you can book a tour or find a driver it is stunning. The three tombs are on a platform, despite being ruined by time and flooding, the shells give a sense of peace. The hand painted blue tiles are a joy. The Mosque of Jalaluddin Bukhari is worth visiting. It is being considered for World Heritage status and deservedly so. With better roads, which would benefit the local farmers and some basic facilities more visitors would come.

A large square fort with 40 Bastian standing 100 ft high in desert is very attractive. The journey to desert is very adventurous on carpeted road, large fields of wheat crops on both sides of the road, camels, goats, cows and large patches of brown sand. This fort was constructed about 1000 years ago in defence point of view. Basic touristoc facilities like toilets, restaurant and guide need to be improved. No sign boards for information, no guide is available. In hot summer (April -september) better to visit early morning or afternoon. No arrangements for night stay. Road is safe for night travelling. Camping may be a good adventure.

I was in Bahawalpur only for a day. This was my first visit to the city and I did not want to miss the famous historical Noor Mahal. As luck would have it, I reached there at 6:00 pm and they were about to start the 3D light show. i am not sure if this takes place on regular basis or not but it was a Saturday night on 12-09-2020 and i was lucky to witness a beautiful 3D light show. On the building of Noor Mahal, they displayed culture and history through different light effects. Its a highly recommended place to visit.

If you are travelling through Sindh and Punjab and you don't visit this Masjid then you will regret it and need/want to return. This a a beautiful white marble Masjid in the architectural design of Shah Jahan's moti (pearl) Masjid in Agra. It is part of the ancestral home of the then Nawabs of Bahawalpur and continues to remain in the Abbassi family. Set next to the Derawar Fort in the Rohi or Cholistan desert where stands proud. Though a little outside the city of Bahawalpur it is worth the visit. Along the way you will see some magnificent Punjab farm lands with Mango, sugar cane, cotton plantations as well as fish farms.
