Great summer's day drive in my Alfa Spider - one of the must-do ways to cross the Alps by car. Dogs apart, the Pass is most famous perhaps for being the scene of the opening sequence of the original Italian Job and the destruction Croker's Jaguars/Aston Martin by the Mafia. Be very prepared for cyclists and hikers as you round the bends on the ascent if you are coming from France.
