Based on other reviews we (two couples) travelled to Remy Massin Champagne following our Sat-Nav from Troyes which took about 35mins using the Peage. We decided to miss the tour at 3pm, electing to taste a couple of Champagnes with a view to purchasing a few bottles and arrived around 3.45pm. The tour and tasting was just finishing and those people were leaving and so we received a personal tasting session of 5 different Champagne varieties with the owners grand-daughter. We belive the Champagne is very good - based on our tasting as we have not actually opened a bottle on our return home yet - and we purchased a mixed case of six bottles each at an average price of c.16E/bottle (you get an increasing discount if you buy 6,12, or 24 bottles and they will split this if you go as a group). We were probably at the Champagne House for around an hour and it was a very enjoyable experience.

Less severe than many cathedrals in France this is well worth a visit. You need time to enjoy the stained glass and the peace and tranquility of the surroundings. Suggest you visit here first before getting involved in Champagne tasting !

Definitely worth stopping by this church to see the architecture and stained glass windows. There are explanations in English about the different glass window panels, which definitely contributes to better understanding of their historical significance! There's also a lovely peaceful garden beside the church that make for a delightful overall visit!

Created by Paul Feller s.J., A forward-looking Jesuit priest, the MOPO is dedicated to the passing on of knowledge and the promotion of apprenticeship. The museum boasts a collection of more than 10 000 tools distributed across 61 display cases in a remarkable scenography. At least as many beautiful tools are carefully stored in the museum's reserves. The contemporary power of the scenography adds to the story and power of each tool, painstakingly brought back to life. A place dedicated to the passing on of knowledge The 10 000 tools on show at the MOPO are unique witnesses of the intergenerational transfer of craftsmen. They invite the visitor to embark on a historic journey and are key to understanding trades today. A unique example in its kind, the MOPO is an open window on past and present trades, for all those who are interested in craft trades as well as in industrial technologies, in history as well as in trades. Through a rich programme constantly renewed, the MOPO highlights craftsmen and craftswomen, emphasising their knowledge, expertise and life-skills.

We are so glad we chose an overnight stay in Troyes as the city centre has a wealth of medieval buildings such as has long disappeared in the UK. It is a delightful town to wander through, with the river, canals (with playful sculptures dotted around) and lovely old buildings - we have seldom seen so many old timbered houses - as well as nine churches. There is a lively cafe/bar scene too. Having stayed overnight, a return visit looks very likely!

Find your favourite designer brands at reduced prices, all year round. Our beautiful setting close to Troyes centre, with cafes and restaurants, children's play area, free parking and more than 110 boutiques, we have something for everyone.
We often break our journey from UK to the Alpes in Troyes and always enjoy a wander round here. There a good selection of shops and some bargains to be had. The children love the Haribo shop in particular!
