The Athens-Limestone Visitors Center is situated on the corner of Big Spring Memorial Park in a historic building that first served Athens as its Utility Building. The building has been fully restored with architectural features of the early 1900's when the building was first erected to pump water from the natural spring in the park to downtown Athens. Among the collection of information we offer to visitors to our community, you will find trail brochures, event listings and maps not only for Limestone County but also a number of attractions and cities in North Alabama. Our Guest Service Volunteers will answer your questions about the community or will take the steps to get you the information before you leave our visitor's center. We feature rotating displays of local art work, local goods, and souvenirs in our facility as well. Our postcards are very popular with travelers looking to send a piece of Athens-Limestone AL home to family and friends. Athens Visitors Center is easily accessed from Beaty Street by step or ramp.

Thankful the owners of our local theatre decided to open here. First run movies are shown. It gives the young people a local activity. And gives the older generation movie opportunities without going to another city. Thank you

Isoms’s is a local farm with home-grown fruits and vegetables. Each seasonable crop is cultivated properly and picked at the perfect time. Customers reap the benefits of fresh nutritious food on their tables. I always shop Isoms first.
