Nestled in a the beautiful Schanfigg Valley, Arosa is the very picture of an Alps village, from its diverse array of ski runs to the charming wooden houses that are so quintessentially Swiss. If you want, you can round out your ski vacation with concerts, architectural tours, and a visit to the 500-year-old Bergkirchli mountain chapel.

On the well-known Squirrel Path, your children can not only feed the cute little animals but also solve a riddle on the information panels. The path begins near the hotel BelArosa at the crossing on Tomeli Strasse (in front of the Waldhotel National) and ends at the Maran bus stop. It's fun for everyone - not just the little ones! The story is also available as a picture book for CHF 13.00.
Eichhornchenweg or the Squirrel path hiking trail in Arosa Switzerland you will see lots of little animals I think they are used to people they seem quite tame not timid. A fun walk.

A pretty town with a large bowl of mostly blue motorway style ski pistes with lots of bars and restaurants - seems to aim mostly at the local Swiss market, who tend to do a few easy runs at high speed and then sit in the sun with lots of wine and nice food.
There is now a (fast) connection to the neighbouring Lenzerheide resort which has some slightly more challenging slopes. Ski touring is also popular around the resorts.

You have to book a lounge chair in advance to be able to enjoy great simple food with fantastic views of the alps surrounding Arosa. Good music! A must to drink here is the Tschuggen-Coffee (with alcohol)!

We came for two days to walk around Arosa and various alps.
All hiking trails were well marked and had excellent explanations.
Our visit was in October right before the closure of many hotels for the intermediate season between summer and winter. Hence not many people around so we were able to enjoy the region with fantastic outlooks.

This tiny wooden Walser chapel sits on mountain meadow overlooking the Graubünden Alps. It is over 500 years old. Great photography subject. There also is a small cemetery. Concerts are held weekly. The door is usually locked, if no sermons or Concerts are held.

Good spot for food with children/teenagers, with rather good burgers and chicken wings. The food takes a while to arrive, but is clearly freshly prepared and piping hot; the service friendly and prompt. It would have been perfect if the puddings had been a bit more imaginative.

The rope park is located amid natural trees in the woods of the „Waldfestwiese“. With a bit of courage, skills and physical exercise, the seven different courses guarantee a unique experience for everyone. Even our youngest guests (4-9 years) have two separate courses with a continuous security system that ensures fun and excitement for the whole family.
Great fun if a bit scary for the first time. Excellent instructors with a good explanation of how to do it. Four different routes to choose from. Well worth it if you are in Arosa.

A paradise for our youngest guests in Arosa The indoor playground Bärenhöhle offers a lot of fun for the whole family especially in bad weather conditions. There is a ball pit, a tower to climb with a big slide, a bouncy castle, bobby cars, other vehicles and a lot more to have fun with. While the kids are playing parents and chaperons can enjoy a snack in the cafeteria on the gallery.
