Due to recent development in the Covid-19 situation, we regretfully inform you that the museum is closed until further notice. Thank you Retro IT Computer History Museum hosts a big collection of vintage computers, portables, laptops and around 1500 different CPUs. A lot of history and many stories about the beginning of the technology. Visiting is possible every Saturday from 10 AM until 4 PM and from Monday to Friday – only with a previous booking – from 4 PM until 10PM. Please make your booking a day before your arrival.
We visited this unique romanian museum on saturday when the majority of the attractions in Arad are closed. Spent 1 hr being fascinated about all the computers and laptops from 10, 20 30 and 40 years ago (neither large IT universities in Romania could bot gather such a nice collection). Got some very nice souvenirs: calendars and mini IT boards as key chains. The person founding the museum from his personal money is definitely a passionate IT fan and he wants to further developp the museum. The bookings for visit (free entrance) can be prior made through phone or facebook page very easy.

Definitely a must see if you are visiting Arad, especially during the night when it lights up. We visited yesterday and it was very nicely arranged and had a very big Christmas three in front of it. Om the left side you can see a nice light up tunnel which leads to the Christmas fair organized in the "Mihai Eminescu" Park which is also a must see.

This year the Christmas market in Arad was the best according to me. In this park,Mihai Eminescu, the maket was definitely a success, large place, romantic atmosphere by night, lot of police by night and day. You definitely could go for a walk, drink a hot wine/tuica, hot tea eat some good and traditional food. A very good place .

We spent 3 days at the Balla Geza Winery in October, for a corporate team-building event. The place was perfect for this occasion, we felt very welcome and cozy. The staff is extremely nice and helpful. Accommodation is basic but clean - some improvements could be made in that specific area, but since we did not spend a lot of time in the rooms, I would say that is not such an important aspect. For our training and team-building activities, the staff offered great support and were very understanding; we had great times during the wine tastings and Rudy, who was our wine story teller was just great, friendly, patient and we had a lot of fun listening to his stories. The food was also amazing - homemade dishes that remind you of mom's cooking. We also walked in the winery, where the views are just breathtaking - during a sunny and clear day, like the one we had, you see miles and miles away. Overall the experience exceeded all of our expectations and we would love to go back again and probably will do so in the close future.
