Anoka (/əˈnoʊkə/ ə-NOH-kə) is a city in Anoka County, Minnesota. The population was 17,142 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat. Anoka calls itself the "Halloween Capital of the World", because it hosted one of the first Halloween parades in 1920. It continues to celebrate the holiday each year with several parades. Anoka is a northern suburb of the Twin Cities.

My friends and I were totally engaged in this zany comedy, "You Can't Take It With You," set in the 1930's. The cast is quite large and each character's personality comes out in one liners, movements, and the various interactions with other characters. This play continues until March 4th. Season subscriptions and single tickets are available at Lyricarts.org and are reasonably priced.

We have been here many times, yet wanted to check out their mid-Covid routine and really wanted to support our local favorites! They have added to the outdoor area, so that it is now covered. They are organized and thoughtful with keep it all safe. AND the beer is still fabulous and Tipsy Steer is serving the best brew pub food!
