great family ride, especially for NYC recreational family bikes. The path is smooth, last stop on the Harlem Valley Metro North Train. About 45 or so to Millerton. Once there, there are 3 or 4 antique shops and two restaurants that are very good.

We saw Nine Wives, Falsettos, and Spring Awakening…All were excellent productions…professional, quality performances and the plays themselves were great, not groundbreaking but still not the safe Neil Simon, yada yada…Nine Wives was hilarious, we took guests and we all laughed out loud several times…the performers are great…the director and manager of the company there has done a great job of providing interesting, quality, and fun theater...

Originally the estate of Chauncy Devereux Stillman, Wethersfield today occupys 1200 acres and consists of the Main House, Gardens, Carriage House and Farm. The House and Gardens are situated at an elevation of 1,200 ft., the highest point in the region, which provides panoramic views of the Catskills to the west and the Berkshires to the north. The museum house is Georgian style and houses a collection of antiques,
paintings and sculptures. In addition to being a working farm, Wethersfield has a stunning 3-acre formal garden that has the presence of water and sculptures throughout. An accomplished equestrian enthusiast, Mr. Stillman built the stables to house riding horses. After he took an interest in driving horses, the stables were expanded to accommodate a Carriage House. Houseguests at Wethersfield were treated to daily carriage rides on the 22 miles of estate trails. His carriage collection can be viewed today. Scenic trails are only available to hikers and equestrians and provide roughly 20 miles of unspoiled beauty with varying terrain, stunning views, and abundant wildlife.

We drove this stretch of Highway 7 to reach Kent Falls before sunset. The drive is so beautiful. We drove this in October, during the fall colors. We ended up passing through Bulls Bridge and the cute town of Kent. We will definitely stop and walk the town next time. The falls is right off the highway and within view from the parking lot! You can hike all the way up (cemented stairs with various lookout platforms).
There is a red covered bridge you go through. It’s very cute and picturesque!
We caught it off season, so free parking.

Private garden of 1930s heiress now open to public.
I really liked this place. It really is very beautiful and peaceful. We went with a range of ages including kids from 7-15 but we all enjoyed it. Not much to do except enjoy the scenery; ramble about; eat picnics and generally relax - but that is it's charm.

Beautiful racetrack in a gorgeous setting. Great racing at a well maintained facility. Fun camping as well. Walk the track after the racing is done. No hook ups for camping but bathroom and showers available. Walk through the pits and get up close to the cars and drivers. Been to sports car and antique car races here and enjoyed both. Well staffed.

Located on 800 acres of pristine land in the beautiful Hudson Valley, Crown Maple is a state-of-the-art sugarhouse open to the public two weekends in March for Maple Weekends, sponsored by the NYS Maple Producers Association. We will also be open to the public for limited special occasions to be announced on our website and Crown Maple Facebook page. Our Farm offers a variety of maple products, from pancake mix to mixed nuts and even spice rubs.
My husband and I visited Crown Maple over the weekend for brunch and just to relax and loved every minute of it. The brunch was amazing, i had the pumpkin pancakes and he had the huevos rancheros and both were delicious. The property is beautiful and i would absolutely return.

The staff here are some of the best people I've met. They are so nice! We got a tasting ticket on Groupon for 2. It's $15 for a tasting and you get glasses to keep. You get to try 3 spirits. We did bourbon, eye and rum. The rum is one of the best local ones I've tried. They also donate proceeds to vets from the sale of their special label bourbon and have discounts for first responders and vets. That's always nice to see. It's a quiet, scenic country spot. They offer tastings Saturdays and sundays 12-4 (I think). They also have a small bar and sell a cocktail of the day, select beer, cider and wine. Lots of outdoor seating great place to stop for a few drinks, great conversation and longer back in an adirondack chair and enjoy the green rolling hills and fresh air. Nice wedding venue too!

Our visit here was unplanned. We happened to be in the area and saw a sign and had time so we decided to check it out. The Winery was very crowded as you would expect on a beautiful Saturday afternoon in late October. There was...MoreThank you for taking the time to review us! We are glad that you enjoyed our visit and look forward to hosting you in the future for a tour and tasting!

Nature Center & Trails- Visitor Center with live animals and exhibits- Newly expanded Raptor Aviaries with 10 species of live birds of prey; aviaries are open dawn to dusk- Wildlife Observation Platform on Ford Pond- 11 miles of scenic hiking trails suitable for all ages and abilities; trails are open dawn to dusk- Store with nature oriented gifts, bird feeding supplies and local field guides- 1,147 acres to be explored!
This place doesn't get the attention that it deserves. I don't think that that many people know about it. It is getting more and more difficult to find peaceful places to see nature and really experience it the way things used to be. The Center has some great trails and ponds. It is a very peaceful respite staffed by friendly and helpful people.
