Cretan Olive Oil Farm is a place where you can explore the unknown side of Crete and its products. You will experience the way we were producing traditional Cretan products such as olive oil, wine, raki & pottery in a unique environment. See, Taste, Smell, Touch.
The Cretan Olive Farm offers you a chance to see how traditional olive farms operated all over the island. Take the tour with the cheesemaking and cooking class - it's excellent value for money and a fabulous way to see how things were on the island. Great for families.

Came across Agios Nikolaos by accident, what a little stunner of a town, a few nice shopping streets, a lake where they were doing cliff diving and great little cafes, where the food is wonderful.

We have been coming to Crete for the past 15 years and we traveled all around the island until...we found Agios Nikolaos and Ammoudi Beach. We fell in love with the place. Apart from the amazing scenery, we were attracted by the water sports activities. Amoudi Water Sports is run by the nicest family and it is because of them that we keep coming back. They made our holidays a wonderful experience making us feel like we are part of the family. Every year we have a lot of fun riding the sofa or using the jetski, kayak or SUP. All these are and were done with complete compliance with the rules and regulations. Nikos and Manos are always alert and keeping an eye on what is happening on the beach and we always felt safe there, especially this year!

We found Voulisma Beach on Tripadvisor and the reviews were great. We took a writers advice and got there early, 9.15am, after travelling from our hotel resort, Stella Island. We were the first there and got two beds with a parasol for €15 that included a safe attached to the parasol - why have I never seen this before. Beautiful white sand, crystal clear water and a little cave with rock pools meant we spent most of the time in the water snorkelling or just mucking about. They offer food and drink service on the beach so there is no need to move. Even now, and at this time of the year, come 12 ish it was very busy but there was still a great atmosphere. We both said it probably is the closest to somewhere like the Maldives you could get to in 4 hours from London. Enjoy!

Nice walk on a quiet road to the little church at the end where there is also a board with the history of the area lined with fir trees. Lovely sands and the occasional sunbed, No tavernas, just peace and quiet.

To stand under this gives a true perspective of its size, and the representation of Zeus in the form of a bull with Europa sitting on him is amazing when you find out the story behind it, if you're interested in the history of the Greeks then this is a must to see, and its free in a public place bonus!
