Built in 326 A.D. at the foot of Lingyin Mountain, this temple features a main hall extending 33.5 meters in height, a statue of Sakyamuni carved out of 24 pieces of camphor wood and a laughing Buddha covered in gold.
Past the perfectly manicured tea groves of a picturesque country lane is the home of Hangzhou's amazing ancient Feilai Feng scenic area and Lingyin Buddhist Temple. Countless perfectly detailed reliefs, statues, and buddhas are carved eveywhere into the mountainside amongst tall beautiful trees, caves, pathways, and a quiet stream. Would have loved to spend many more hours exploring the site but moved along with my family to tour the Buddha statues and structures of the Lingyin Temple. The scenic area is one of the must peaceful settings I've ever experienced. Not far away though near the entrance you're back to civilization with many small shops, restaurants, not one, but two separate Starbucks, and most importantly...a Western styled ladies room!

Considered one of the most beautiful sights in Hangzhou, this scenic lake is sheltered on three sides by hills, with open flat land to the northeast where downtown Hangzhou is located.
I arrived in Hangzhou on November 12th with my friends. It was the first time I went to Hangzhou and it's definitely not the last time.On the morning of November 13th,we visited many scenic spots and what impressed me most was West Lake. There was antique and beautiful scenery. The Three Pools Mirroring the Moon was a wonderful sight, which made me marvel at it.At night,33 moons could be seen here!We visited the Leifeng Pagoda and listened to the guide tell us the stories about it.We learned about ancient Chinese culture there.I think it's very meaningful to visit the West Lake.Tips:When you go to the West Lake, the boat tour is a must.Hangzhou is rainy,so you'd better take the clothes and an umbrella. If you need to take photos, take a camera with you.

The legendary peak's caves have hundreds of Buddhist stone statues dating from the 10th to the 14th centuries.
Interesting Buddha sculptures at the beginning of the Linjiang Temple complex. They’re included in the Temple ticket. We especially liked the fat laughing Buddha and there was an sign with an explanation in English.

An ancient library turns into museum, this place is so calm and peaceful. Best to go during off peak season as it will be extremely crowded.

It offers beautiful scenery, but the lake itself is so small that taking boat ride is almost not worth it. Nothing really to see except if you go up the mountain... with the pathway not that well maintained .

Wuzhen, a 1300-year-old water town on the lower reaches of the Yangtze River, is a national 5A scenic area and one of China's top ten historical & cultural towns. Located on the Hangzhou-Jiaxing-Huzhou Plain in northern Zhejiang Province, it is at the center of the golden triangle consisting of Shanghai, Hangzhou and Suzhou. Wuzhen can be easily accessed through a number of expressways and national highways. In 2001, Wuzhen was named as a candidate for UNESCO's World Cultural Heritage List. At the end of 2006, it was included in the revised List of China's Candidates for UNESCO World Cultural Heritage. In 2009, Wuzhen was named as the first PATA eco-tourism destination in Mainland China. The ancient Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal flows through the town, which is divided by waterways into four areas, Dongzha, Xizha, Nanzha, and Beizha. Since its foundation in 872 A.D., Wuzhen has never changed its name, location, waterways, or way of life. Traditional buildings remain intact today even after hundreds years of weathering.
Visited this place as part of my tour to Hangzhou. It is like being taken back in time to an ancient town.Took the boat ride and really enjoyed the experience(Woww!!!!).It is good that there are so many beautiful places in China that made me always come back for more.

I was awed by the size of this place! There are many palaces for filming to take place and these palaces are huge! We also managed to see the filming in action. We spend 3 day 2 nights in Hengdian but there was not enough time. We will go back again to visit the other palaces not visited so as to see how certain movies as being filmed.

This is a very popular place for the locals. It is a shady place with very shallow streams where kids can play inside the water. Come prepared wearing swimming gear as the waters are very inviting. I also like the fact that this path leads to famous Longjin green tea plantation so it's killing two birds with a stone.

I have visited Su Causeway for three times. The first visit didn't live up to my expecation, winter in Hangzhou is so cold, but when i came in june and august,it's so beautiful when the lake was glittering in the sun,and it was not so hot with trees casting shadow along the causeway. If you are tired, there are some pavilions on the way(but it's still a long way to go).But there are always too many people, especially in vacation, noisy people and colided crowd always drives man mad .So, choosing a nice day and avoiding holiday is very important for an enjoyable vist.
