I should say that this place has created lovely and unforgettable memories for myself and my family. Not to mention a must see place for any type of traveller. First and foremost, I really appreciate the thought and vision of this whole project. The effort and dedication required to procur, transport, rebuild and maintain these masterpieces is unimaginable. All so that future generations know our past way of life and culture. It is gift to all Indians and on a second thought to entire humanity. It is beyond my vocabulary to share my feelings and amazement when I saw this place. Just to make sure I grasp a glimpse of everything there, I and my family went there twice and have had a lovely memorable, enjoyable couple of days. One of the best places that I have visited in my life and am sure everyone visiting this place would agree with me.

We drove by besides the Maravanthe Beach on NH66 while going to Murudeshwar from Udupi. On the left side we had a beautiful view of the expansive Arabian Sea, while on our right was a gently flowing Souparnika River. The river flows down from near the Mookambika temple at Kollur in the Western Ghats hence it is also known as the Kolluru River. It then takes a U-turn next to the highway as it flows further south, but ultimately drains into the sea later. We stopped by the beach to take in the beautiful view and enjoy a tender coconut. It was amazing to see the coconut tree fringed road snaking through with water bodies on both sides of the road. It is reputed to be one of the most scenic places on the west coast of India.

Mata Mugambi is a very powerful God who blessed all. It's in a place called Kollur. As it was a working day, there was less crowd and we had dharshan twice in the night and a very good early morning dharshan. The Seeveli or the closing ceremonies were a delight. A mini statue of goddess was brought out and taken around on foot, on two different kinds of palanquins and finally in a golden chariot. A tall structure was lighted with hundreds of lamps.

This is just in front of Sri Krishna’ Temple. It is customary to visit this temple before visiting Sri Krishna ‘s Temple. Siva Linga here symbolizes Lord Siva who appeared here in response to a penance performed by Moon God to cure from Daksha’s curse, A beautiful temple.
