Riding Lessons, Equestrian Trail Riding, Pony Rides, Events, Seminars on animal welfare and other educational activities for adults and youngsters, are some of the activities offered at our horse riding club. Both advanced and beginner riders of all ages are welcome. Our club house overlooking Hermoupolis, and grounds are available for functions subject to arrangement. Our state-of-the-art facilities and most popular trailheads are located in the area of Livadia in Kato Manna, app. 2,5 km from the town center.
We operate horse riding tours in the neighboring island of Mykonos, and for the first time recently experienced a trail ride with the Equestrian Club in Syros. The horses were wonderful, and the entire experience very enjoyable, with a lovely scenic route through the fields and hills of Syros. We know the owner Sasa who has been coming to our riding center for a few years offering riding instruction to the local children, and she is an excellent and patient teacher, dedicated to the horses, and to ensuring her clients are all well looked after. We can't recommend this experience enough for people looking for something a little different to do in Syros.

A beautiful Greek Orthodox cathedral up from the harbour and 3 min from Miaouli square Syros is an interesting island as 2 religions are practised - Orthodox and Catholic and both have a strong presence although St Nick in Ano Syros is definitely the “poor” - small, with much less adornment. Back to Ermoupolis and St Nick Ploussios had quite a bit of money donated by the wealthy ship owners business and govt to build and adorn after liberation from Ottoman occupation - marble abounds as it does in all of Ermoupolis. grand mansions, opera house and churches. The bishopric for the Cyclades is in Syros as well Beautiful lead light, sculpture of Christ, Icons by renown iconographers and monks from Mt Argos. At the top of stairs under the verandah is a large iron bell - probably from a ship Wonderful bright colors in ceiling - highly decorative in many ways quite showy and beautiful Stands alone in the square with a rather nice garden with some palm trees among the plants and statues on plinths Well worth going in an admiring this church

Best beach in Syros. Fine white sand, shallow waters and at least one excellent taverna two steps from the sea. Could get rather crowded in summer but we enjoyed it quiet in the first days of season after the lockdown.

A treasure for the island that shows the culture and the love for the arts that Syros has all these years. It is a miniature of La Scala in Milan. You should also go to the theater museum.

A place for reflection, no matter what your religious beliefs happen to be. The high backed seats with a plaque "Andron" - Men amused me.

Galissas beach is one of the most beautiful and popular beaches of the island. This is a fully organized beach which offers all kinds of comforts. Guests can swim in the crystal clear waters, relax on the golden sand, enjoy unique flavors in the taverns of the village and head to the chapel of Agia Pakou from where the view is magnificent. The beach is easily accessible either by bus or by private boat.
This was a great beach. Nice sand, sheltered bay, very shallow for a long distance so even those who cannot swim so well can enjoy it. I loved the walkway around it, you can also climb the hill next to beach to a church with a view of the beach and surrounding area.

This is an amazing flat sandy beach with warm water and beautiful surroundings. Well laid out beach with sun beds and umbrellas in front of bars and restaurants. Great price of 5 euro for a drink and sunbed. As it was end of September, it wasn't too crowded making it peaceful and relaxing. Must see in Syros
