This is a fabulous little gem of history just outside Vancouver. It's free and there's good parking. You can wander round the house, barns and grounds and there are some lovely trails to walk with fabulous views of the mountains and river. It would be a great place to take a picnic in the warm months. Lots of history and not too much to read. All in all a great experience for all ages

Redwood Park is a beautiful historic park in South Surrey. It has a large forest of exotic trees planted by the Brown brothers, there's also a wonderful replica of the original tree house that the brothers lived in. I believe you can obtain the key from the City to explore inside it. Beautiful lawns and picnic areas and a great playground. For children the best part of Redwood Park is the magical Fairy Garden, here kids can leave their own decorated fairy house.

Almost every night in the summer my husband and I go to Blackie spit to ride around the beautiful natural path ways and then around the beach and then back to sit on the beach and watch a stunning sunset… It’s a best kept secret and it’s hardly ever crowded and even more so there’s a fantastic dog park and place for the dogs to play in the beach best kept secret I think…

Crescent Beach is breathtaking, we go with the family during the day and enjoy a lovely stroll and all you feel is peace, the ocean breeze in the blue and silver colour water and most of the time the sun is out even on cold days...What a treat even when I am just on my own spa time for the mind and soul. Love birds looking for a perfect location outdoors for photos before/after weddings just in White Rock, BC.
