The smallest of the Trójmiasto (Tri-Cities), the Baltic Sea spa town of Sopot is smack between Gdansk and Gdynia, just a few miles from each. A retreat for the rich and royal for centuries, Sopot’s exclusive air remained even through the Communist era, and the tony town has undergone a building boom in recent years. Boasting beautiful beaches and ritzy resorts, Sopot is also known for its Wooden Pier (the longest in Europe), the lovely mid-woods Forest Opera and lively Monte Cassino Street.

Located on the northern coast of Poland near Gdansk, Sopot Beach is famous for its white sands, nearby shops, restaurants, and other cultural happenings. The Baltic isn't known for its warm waters, but can be temperate in the late summer/early fall months.

The Tri-city Landscape Park is one of my favourite places for walk. It is so large that you can plan a lot of different trips every day. Beautiful forests with so many hidden gems inside. I was there hundreds of time and still discover new amazing places. There are many walking trails and bike trails. Everybody will find something nice there.

Being in Sopot near the Pier is worth going to the Lighthouse. When in 1975 the hospital boiler room was modernized, the very onerous smoking chimney has become redundant. It was rebuilt and a light source was placed on it and it became a lighthouse. One of the tallest buildings in Sopot, blends in nicely with the panorama of the city. At the entrance we are greeted by a very nice man and then the stairs begin . The stairs are very cool and there are a lot of them, after which we get to the top of the tower from which you can enjoy beautiful views. A nice tourist attraction. The ticket is not expensive and it is really worth seeing the beautiful panorama of Sopot. After getting down, you get a certificate of getting the Lighthouse. I highly recommend.
