Wildlife Friends Foundation Thailand

The WFFT wildlife rescue center is a rescue center for injured, confiscated and neglected wild animals. The wildlife rescue center operates a fully equipped wildlife hospital. We care for monkeys, gibbons, wild cats, bears, birds, reptiles and even elephants. You can visit the wildlife rescue center, the wildlife hospital and our elephant sanctuary by booking a day trip from Bangkok, Cha-am or nearby Huahin.

This is a wildlife sanctuary, it is not an elephant park. The full day tour we took was amazingly organized: from transport from/to Bangkok, to the nice areas, excellent lunch and, more than everything else, amazing work they do with the animals. You will see a lot of animals, see them playing, feed some of the elephants, bath them gently. 5 stars.

Bamboo Thai Cooking School Hua Hin & Cha Am

Come and learn to cook authentic Thai food and immerse yourself in Thai culture with Anya at her home where she will teach you how to choose fresh ingredients and make delicious Thai food in a fun and relaxed environment. Classes are run at a slow and steady pace for everyone to be able to follow. The classes are for any level of cook.

Reviewed By 318vickyw - Darlington, United Kingdom

Enjoyed every minute of the class. Instead of the standard market tour, Anya, who is passionate about food, nature, ingredients and tradition, showed us her beautiful garden where she grows her own herbs, spices and vegetables without chemicals. It was good to see the actual plant, flower, seed and fruit from the original source. Very knowledgable in her product, a good gardener as well as cook. The class was easy to follow, very interesting and I felt I learned many things I will take home with me as well as enjoy more food in Thailand. Strongly recommend. Choice of menus over usually 4 dishes, check out website for options. Picked up and dropped off. Excellent day

Great walk with a fall ( ha ha ) Make sure you are ready to get wet and your footwear should be strong and water proof to walk over rocks. Great long winding walking trail, seemed unending with beautiful Rain forest kind of surrounding.

Nayang Bat Cave

Reviewed By jellyfi5h - Singapore, Singapore

We got there through a local Grab driver whom we booked to drive us around Hua Hin and Cha-Am for 8 hours. Very easy to get there through Google map, look out for the home-made "bats observation" signage outside this house with a small parking pouch. Get on the viewing deck for best views (not wheelchair accessible) and be there early. The bats started coming out and form beauitful long stream towards the same direction for almost 10 mins. The rest comes out scattered outside the cave area thereafter, hence come early to catch this spectacular sight. We were there 45mins earlier. I reckon the house owner built this deck and will be collecting 20 baht per person to use the viewing deck, but there was no one around nor collection tin.

Look Up Teak Summer Palce Hua Hin

Reviewed By jffoote - Bangkok, Thailand

Mrigadayavan Palace, one of the summer palaces of King Rama VI, is a beautiful and very interesting historic site. You can walk around the palace on a self-guided tour or you can join a tour group. In addition to all of the beauty of the structure and the period items kept in each of the rooms, the grounds are also both peaceful and beautiful. They do have a small snack and souvenier shop near the entrance, and local vendors are also found in the parking area. We visit often when friends from overseas come to see us. If you enjoy a little history, beautiful gardens and a quiet, peaceful 2-4hr diversion, this palace is worth a look. We love it.

Khao Wang (Phra Nakhon Khiri Historical Park)

Reviewed By JohanM653 - Audinghen, France

Seen it from the road many times and decided - got to see it. The weather was a light drizzle. Hardly anyone here on a Sunday on a long weekend due to the weather. Staff very kind and helpful. Walk up if you want the exercise to take the cable car and relax. This was a royal residence and it is beautiful and very modest compared to flashy gigantesque places elsewhere. You should come here if; - you are in the region - like to see down to earth and not bling bling - like walking - you appreciate local customs and respect it (shoes off and no photos in certain areas, etc) You should not come here if you; - want neon and modern things - don’t like uneven somewhat slippery surfaces when wet
