Myrtle Beach is all at once a spring break destination, golfing destination, retirement community, and family vacation spot. Take in a foot-stomping show at the Carolina Opry, or cheer on your favorite knight at Medieval Times. Mingle with the fishermen of Springmaid Pier, then stop for ice cream along the boardwalk. Shop and dine at one of the area’s many outdoor entertainment complexes, or simply explore the many beaches of the Grand Strand – all with a personality of their own.

Mission: Creating social interaction for children with all abilities through enabling playgrounds and programs designed to meet their special needs. Vision: Promote the development of a barrier-free, bias-free world for all children with special needs.
Tons to do here, mostly for younger children. Plenty of swings including those for special needs children. Clean facilities and even a working water fountain. The area is fenced in which is nice and there is a huge lake that my son enjoyed chasing geese at. The ground is rubber and padded for safer play. I was really impressed and wish I had a playground like this where I live. If your in Myrtle Beach and have little ones, I highly recommend going here.

Broadway at the Beach, South Carolina's favorite Travel Destination and the largest entertainment venue of its kind in the state features unique specialty shops, exceptional dining, award-winning attractions, fabulous nightlife and relaxing accommodations, all surrounding the magnificent Lake Broadway.
Broadway at the Beach is a very large shopping and entertainment complex with dozens of choices surrounding several small lakes where you can even feed the fish. Much of the complex is set up for families with kids so be sure to bring a stroller if needed as the whole circular route is about a 1.5 mile loop, but there are bridges and decks crossing the lakes at midpoint so if a shorter walk is desired that's no probkem.

The beaches of the Grand Strand are beautiful and the selection of restaurants and surfer shops are virtually unlimited along Ocean Blvd. Be prepared for heavy traffic, even on the bypass. Leave early for dinner if you're going to Calabash or Murrell 's Inlet.. I lived and worked in this area for many years.

What better way to spend a summer day than to go to the ball park with family or friends. The Chicago Cubs' farm team, The Pelicans, are a terrific group of players to watch for a perfect outing. Not sure there is a bad seat in the house but we always try to sit along the 1st base or 3rd base lines or even behind the plate for excellent viewing. You can be in the first couple of rows for just $13.00 and be near enough to hear the players chatting or to see them warming up .... you are up close and personal. Foul balls are plentiful so there are plenty of chances to catch one or just join in the fun. Ball park food is good and lots of varieties like Philly Cheesesteak, burgers, franks, and kielbasa; of course, there is plenty of beer and other cold drinks and at reasonable prices. You can even treat yourself to Dip-n-Dots.

At first glance, it does not look like much of a theater from the outside. It is small and intimate inside. There are rows of chairs and a small concession stand. The singers were great! Lots of personality. We saw the Coasters, Drifters and Platters at the Alabama Theater. These voices were stronger. The prices are great! I would love to see these performers be able to move to a more prominent venue.
